It's so funny how in the Darcy era his drafting so was predictable. He went from drafting "the best available players", who all happned to be small. Then once the team was getting pushed around he went 180 degrees and drafted all big guys.

Some sucker of a team will be feeling the pinch nearing the trade deadline. There will be a return.

Probably yes, and the Sabres GM seems to be able to get some pretty good returns.

If you have to choose one who would you rather have, Chris Stewart or Drew Stafford?

From previous blurb.

No, thanks. Were trading a guy with 12 points for a guy with 10. Could be the next drew stafford. He has one season with 28 goals

Cheaper, faster, younger, has another year left on his deal, and he replaces the last of the "Suck Sisters".

IMO he's a tad more grittier too(to/two).

Staff could be a good 3rd line RW on a good team. But he should be done here at the deadline

Ya...
But does he want to be here... Really?
He's said all the right things so far, but it's tough for me to imagine him wanting to re-sign when he could certainly go somewhere he could win much sooner
Although, if he keeps struggling like this on the score sheet, no one good will really be willing to pay all that much for him
He does seem to have a good attitude, which I believe was questioned in StL, so I think if take him back if he wanted to stay
Something like 3-4yrs @ 4mil per?

I've been saying for years now that Vancouver should trade for Stafford
If Pyatt & Grier can score 20g playing with the Twins, imagine what Staff would do...
At least 30, possibly more

There will be rare opportunities with genuine contender for the cup this year. If none of them comes knocking at the TDL this year, I honestly believe - with as variable as the league has become year over year- there are not many places that have better chances to see the cup than buffalo. And I'm speaking in the short term after '15s draft and offseason.

I'm just certain that you can't really have the conversation without ultimately getting to what the analysis requires: that "P" word that acts like nitroglycerin in this thread.
