It's sad that your head coach cry's alot Man get over it. Great game to watch and yeah Chicago did dominate had it not been for your goalie the score could have been real ugly.

That was fairly one-sided officiating. The Avs penalty calls weren't awful, for the most part they were penalties. It's the lack of calling anything against Chicago that was frustrating. By the time the Avs put their usual 3rd period pressure on, started to draw penalties, the refs had already decided to put the whistle away for a tie game. Not a huge issue, some of the bigger name teams will always get the calls.

BUT....what a great game. I can watch these two teams go up and down the ice any day and would welcome Chicago for the outdoor game in Colorado. Such a refreshing change from the Wild and Blues.

Really my only problem with last night was Nick Holden. That guy sucks, the experiment is over. He's not NHL quality in nearly any measure and the Avs just can't afford a black hole in a somewhat already thin defensive line-up. End this please. We don't need an all-star replacement, just someone that looks as though he's played some hockey before.

You do have to remember our team is missing 9 roster players at the moment (granted some are pretty garbage, but Johnson, Varly, McGinn, Mitchell are big cogs to this team. Picks did play well and gave the team a chance to win but back to back games with a depleted roster, we were bound to get our butts handed to us in the shots department. I don't like the "pixie dust" comments in regards Pickard, he is a really good goalie and its a shame he will have to wait to be a full time NHLer since we are tied to Berra for a while now with that bad long contract.

I didn't think the refereeing was that bad, but the cross checks against Iggy and Landy at the end of the game seemed like they should be called and the whistles shouldn't have been put away yet. But cant remember who gave Toews the same cross check in the 2nd and went uncalled, so it goes both ways.

It wasn't ideal calls, but avs taking too many dumb lazy penalties, giving you guys 5 PPs was the real story.

I agree with Holden, he needs to see some press box time now, since we signed him long term we are stuck with him unless we can find someone desperate enough to take him or package him with a useful player like McGinn (Please I hope not)

Haha, just because any real fan of hockey knows that Chicago certainly got away with 2 cross checks and a high stick in the last 3 minutes or less. Yet MacKinnon is called of a softy that should not have been called. JQ is no better.
