Great game!
Special thank you to the Nashville chapter of the Ferguson protestors for making my drive home so much longer! I don't need that much sleep before going to work anyway....

It was good to see a win against a really good team. It was a fun game to watch & my concern about the Preds 2/3/4 lines producing is proving to be something that just needed a little time. Colin Wilson has never played better than he has the past 2-3 weeks. Fantastic vision.

The PP wasn't great, but did generate a few chances. The PK was pretty good last night, though. Continual improvement on the special teams, and this could be a really good Preds team down the stretch.

This was the first game I went to this year and I was really glad I went.

It sparks thoughts of what a playoff round would look like between these two teams come springtime.

What is a playoff round? We have heard the stories about them but can not confirm if they are real or not here in Edmonton. Thanks in advance for your reply.

That had playoff atmosphere all over it. Where are they going to put Fisher..? Hate to disrupt the chemistry.

If Rinne played his A game i think LA would have got dominated last night.

my 2 cents

that forecheck on NSH is very impressive.

Ribeiro looks like a great fit.

Weber/Josi combo is excellent, that should be stuck in glue going forward.

Agreed - that was not Rinne's best game. If he's on fire, that game is 3-1 in favor of Preds. The good news is, Pekka doesn't have to be perfect for the Preds to get a win. That hasn't been true the last couple of years!

well said.

Rinne is back to his normal self though, which is great to see.

I think NSH continues this play all season; i dont see a regression what so ever.

What's the concensus about those two Illegal check to the head calls? I didn't like either one, especially Web's, since it was basically a even-up/make-up/fake show of consistency call...

Both pretty weak. Glad neither player was hurt.

The PP for the Preds is like some kind of Magical Mystery tour every time they get the man advantage. The PP has been bad, so the coaches are throwing funky combinations out there. Josi & Weber played a couple minutes on a PP unit last night. But there have been tons of combos. Including Ellis & Cullen on the point, Weber playing on the second PP unit, and a crazy mix of forwards too. If I remember from last night, I think Weber & Ellis teamed up on the point in the OT power play.

Personally, I think Weber should be on the first PP unit no matter what. But Ellis is proving to be a decent point man. Either way, I expect the Preds to keep experimenting in the near future. There's no telling who Josi will skate with on the PP.

Ok, thanks. And the Magical Mystery tour reference made me laugh.

Looks like the Preds are having a good season so far with the new coach and a healthy Rinne.

Really pleased that it looks like we have a solid second line in place playing well. Wilson/Smith have been putting up the necessary pts while NeRf line is being kept off the score sheet. Fish can play with Cullen and really lift the third line when the time comes. I imagine Jokinen's is the odd man out. I think Goose/Beck/Nystrom are too solid of a fourth to disrupt right now. Hopefully , we take care of business tonight.

Don't want a trap/triptophan turkey overload type Thanksgiving game. Take care of business tonight!
