We are currently looking at a top 5 draft pick. Thought I would start it off on a positive note.

As good as that would be, I'd prefer a trip to the playoffs.

Mason was impressive. We OBVIOUSLY have a crap goalie.

Vorachek looked strong, G had his moments.

That friggin embellishment on the high stick had me furious and I know that he won't even get a call from the league who is supposed to be shutting down on that crap!

I was glad Laughton got a shot in the shootout but we have GOT to get better at them. Too many points slip away because we can't compete in a shootout...

Overall it was not a good showing and yes we looked tired. Sigh. I'm just hoping that Hextall waits to the trade deadline before we start trading, and only because we'll get better returns then!

I have no idea what to do with Umberger... Keeping him off the powerplay would be a start though...

1/4 of the way into the season, the Flyers only have more points than the following teams.

Buffalo
Carolina
Columbus
Edmonton

Absolutely pathetic. With the resources the Flyers have, and the amount of money they spend, to be lumped in with these small market teams is truly remarkable. Hextall has his work cut out for him. Lets hope he is up to the task.

First order of business it to get a legit coach.

Even if they make playoffs by some chance, they'll be a first round exit.. I'd take the pick at this point. That would actually be getting something out of the failure.. But that's just my opinion...

I didn't get to watch most of the game but when I saw that Mason stopped 40+ shots I was thanking my lucky stars that the Flyers managed at least a point.

I was literally yelling at the TV when I saw this...Simmonds was in the box for the fight and Chief puts him on the top PP unit! WTF!

He was very impressive last night. Refused to let us go under. It was his will alone that stole us that point.

We're going to win the Draft Lottery even if we are slotted at 14th overall. I feel it in the way the wind has been blowing lately. It's in the air all around us, you just have to listen. The slow chanting of the trees, "McDavid, McDavid, McDavid"

I agree on that point.. I never want them to fail.. but if they're going to, I'd rather they get something better out of it..

I wish Mason didn't have to make as many saves as he did because that would mean that the Flyers were getting dominated.

Absurd. Berube has to go. The worse VLC and Umberger play the more ice time they get.

And to continue from the other blog this is why I make Read, Coburn, L.Schenn, Grossmann and possibly even Simmonds available at the TDL.

The team needs more skill.

It really is pathetic...outside of G, Voracek, Mason, and DelZotto, there isn't much to be happy about in Flyerland

You never know, we could be 8th seeded against the Penguins. We all know how that series could turn out. Mostly with Giroux outplaying Crosby, Cooters outplaying Frankenstein and Fluery falling to pieces.
