Yeah...Carle had one of the worst games i have seen him play. And Brewer wasn't much better. Hopefully Hedman will be back in another week.

We managed pretty well without Hedman for a while, but now we really need him back. Brewer is slow but good, and Carle is fast but bad. And Carle has made it abundantly clear that is he far from being a legitimate first-pairing D-man.

I blame this on Connolly. If Connolly had scored 3 goals, we could have won.

I was going to say this about Morrow.

Morrow brings grit, toughness, and veteran leadership. All good things for a young team.

However, he has lost what little scoring touch he once had and he is slower than molasses in January.

We could have found a veteran that hasn't lost his step or shot. (Jagr anyone?)

And this is not about the Toronto game, but I am thinking that Brodeur would have been a better option than Nabokov.

I could blame this on stamkos as much as I could anybody on the team , he was awful ... He had turnovers after turnovers but so did everyone .. It was the most frustrating game I've ever seen in the past 2 seasons

You know the Bolts faithful have our collective heads in the sand after last night when we can't even muster up a good flame war against such bait...

...you...uh... uh....

... Yeah, thanks Carle, I got nadda...

You want JT to move home and leave your Isles?

Oh, I'll take over from here.

When was the last time the Islanders won the Cup? I bet it was long before the 2004 Cup the Lightning won.

When was the last time that an Islanders goalie was nominated for the Vezina? And for how many more decades will the Islanders have to keep paying DiPietro to sit on his couch and watch TV?

When was the last time an Islander won the Rocket?

Tell me again who they got in return in the Zdeno Chara trade?

Walk outside your house naked right now. Did you get frostbite? I didn't. I was at the beach yesterday looking at bikinis.

Pray that Tavares stays healthy - the Bolts proved they can win without their top gun. The Islanders record in this regard does not induce confidence.

WTF is an Islander anyway? Someone who lives on an island? If that's the case, the entire population of Cuba are "Islanders". Ditto for Haiti and Hawaii.

How does it feel to always be in the shadow of the New York Rangers - who have three times the history and accomplishments of the Islanders? The Lighting have the lowly Panthers whooped and hiding in their hole. Everyone knows there is only one good team in Florida, and that is the Lightning. Everyone knows there is only one good team in New York, and that is the Rangers. Just be thankful you have Buffalo to look down on, although that isn't saying much.

A billion-dollar contact couldn't keep Vanek on the Islanders - he knew exactly what to do, which was get the hell out of Dodge and go play for a real team that has a better shot at a post-season run.

I have more, but I have to go eat something and then bang the daylights out of my wife. While you are reading this, I'll be having a lot more fun that you.

Good night. LOL.

Freaking Islanders......

not the fun game you expected?

Its pretty funny that the leafs and nucks have the same goal differential. Leafs fans will be happy with a playoff spot, nucks fans are thinking they are cup contenders again.

Crap in a hat. You mean I let slip the dogs of war for nothing? That takes some of the fun out of it.

What's funnier is that the Leafs got blown out by two bad/mediocre offensive teams. And despite the goal differential and playing in an inferior division, they have 5 less points than Vancouver.

Throw out the video of that game words cannot describe their play so move on there's plenty of games left. Time to start another win streak of 5 or 6.

For sure, bottom line is consistency is the true mark of good teams though.

Vlad and Connolly are out tonight so will we see a shuffle in the lines since Vlad is a C.

Drouin-Stamkos-Callahan
Palat-Johnson-Kucherov
Killorn-Filppula-Paquette
Morrow-Boyle-Brown

or

Filppula-Stamkos-Callahan
Palat-Johnson-Kucherov
Drouin-Killorn-Paquette
Morrow-Boyle-Brown

I like option one, will be interesting to see pre-skate line rushes.
