Carlo was really solid. Hopefully he can build on it.

Calling Fasth a bit leaky at times was pretty kind Bill.
I thought he was terrible tonight. The Nuge is going to be great but he needs work on his faceoffs. Carlo looked solid, calm with the puck. Too bad about Raffl.
The Simmonds elbow penalty was pretty hilariously bad.

The refs were bad, Bill, but I don't remember killing off 67 penalties!

Great write up, as always. Carlo was a pleasant surprise. Didn't look out of place.

Jake is just an animal.

Has anyone ever just wanted to yell at Vincent to skate with his stick not 5 feet in the air and parallel to the ice? Well I do. Hate the way that guy skates

Fasth was terrible.

The refs were brutal.

The whole defense actually looked good, although Grossmann had some issues with the puck and an ill-advised pinch on the RNH goal.

Giroux took several D-Zone shifts with Couturier & Read. Hoping Raffl isn't bad, but after Saturday they have 5 days off to heal up.

Was not impressed with that line. They weren't awful, but they were that good either.

Great recap, Bill. Loving the way Del Zotto has been playing, he looks way more confident than he did early on. Mason was solid, that save without his stick was awesome.

Quick stat i just saw, Voracek leads the league in Even Strength points, 2 ahead of Zetterberg (6 ahead of Crosby). That top line has come a long way to improving the 5v5 play. Really hope Raffl isn't gone for too long.

He had an overall good night, couple miscues with the puck, and the bad pinch, but he was battling and solid tonight.

* Giroux when informed that club has yet to be scored against on the penalty kill at home: "Thanks for jinxing it."

One of Tim, Sam, or Randy would be my guess.

I hope the Raffl injury isn't serious. Did he even take another shift after the blocked shot that dinged him? I don't think I saw him out there again.

EDIT - Nevermind, I see it's been covered.

I didn't notice at the game. I complained about VandeVelde getting shifts with Giroux & Vorack and got 10 tweets about Raffl being out

I was busy explaining to my kid that we had to let Santa bring her a Jake Voracek jersey for Christmas & I wasn't gonna pay arena prices & the phone exploded

Missed the game but seems like Voracek has really grown into a star.

Wasn't so sure when he first came over from Columbus, as he didn't always seem invested as a player there but he has come a long way.

Great to see.

MDZ seems to be improving as well, just pray they calm their tits before giving him a huge extension.
