And fyi, supposedly there is going to be a pretty good turn out tonight. The team has to win at home for fans to come. We had more in there on Thursday against Arizona than we did against the Sens the game before. The team is playing better so, naturally, fans will begin to trickle back in. I cannot stand how the arena looks, and I hate that I cannot be there for most games (I have an 11 month old son). I support this team and always have. South Florida fans want to win or they won't go.

It just boggles my brain that people are giving us so much trouble now when nothing was said about Chicago, Pittsburgh, Boston, NYI, Devils, Blues... when they were going through the same thing. Our new owner is not giving any more free tickets away. That is the SOLE reason you see how empty the arena is on game nights. The last few seasons, 40% of the fans in the arena were fluff; corporate sponsors who were given 100 free tickets. We aren't doing that anymore. But the bashing has to stop. I would never wish this on any other franchise. Ever.

Serious question: if you just show up to the BB&T center an hour before a game that presumably has a lot of seats still available without a ticket and go to get a ticket at the box office, how much can you get lower bowl tickets for?

It wont stop...this is Canada's 2nd favorite sport - attendance counting. They've said this kind of stuff to Devils fans for years. It was Dallas a couple years ago, Nashville before that... it never ends. Unfortunately you guys and AZ are getting the worst of it now. As someone who lives in a state where like 80% of the hockey fans do not cheer for "Jersey's team" I've heard it all before. Meh, whatever. They count fans, I count Stanley Cups.

Your last sentence really stood out to me because I dont know any American hockey fan who was happy that the Jets and Nordiques left Canada. I don't remember any Americans cheering for the Oilers, Flames, or Senators to be moved south when they were floundering in the late 90's. Guess they're all too young to remember that, eh?

I'm def. hoping you guys start winning in South Florida so you can take your kid to some Panthers games in a year or two. Maybe we'll get a rematch of that Devs-Panthers playoff series from 2012

Good stuff here. Appreciate it. That was a great series for sure. And yes, even when the Thrashers were moved I felt horrible for the fans in Atlanta. There are always alternatives.

No need to lump all the people of Canada together because of 1 douchebag Canucks fan. There are 7 Canadian teams to 23 American teams and most Canadian teams are on an internal budget. The odds are severely in favour of the American teams.
