Let's hope it starts a winning streak. Putting consecutive points together is the forumula for making it into the playoffs and I think this team is capable of that. There are holes on defense that need to be filled and I hope that a combination of solid drafting and good signings the next two summers will help alleviate the roller coaster ride.

We do have points in the last 5 games (7 out of a possible 10 points), which is mind boggling when you think about it

You talk smack about cliche the dude kills penalties like it's nothing only penalty killer who hasn't been on the ice when we get scored on the pp and a big reason why it's been 15 or 16 kills in a row

Look at the amount of shots and Save percentage of Varly when Cliche is on the ice in PK situations. He isn't a great PK specialist, Varly has been bailing out that PK.

Stats don't lie, teams are getting better chances and more shots on net with Cliche on the ice on the PK, he isn't boxing them out getting them to take low percentage shots.

That's true but he is a fourth line center you can't expect too much from him I am glad they recalled everberg and scratched Daniel but if you look at our farm no one really sticks out as a solid replacement for cliche I feel like we have the worst farm system in the league not one solid offensive prospect that we can be excited about

The Avs do have the worst ranked system, have had for a few years now. And that call goes to Pracey and his drafting. Outside of the Lottery picks, he had one good draft getting ROR and Barrie.

Drafting Hishon too early (Bjugstad 2 picks later), trading down to get Pickard in the same draft (Toffoli was the pick we traded down from). Thats is just why we have a poor system, just misses after misses on the 2nd round and drafting players too high for their ranking and mis managed player rankings.

Heard in the 2nd round when Jacke McCabe is on the board or Brock McGinn. List goes on and on with Pracey.

But Cliche is a bum, and even bring up Paul Carey would be a better choice than him. At least Carey has speed and didn't look bad being called up last year
