Great read!

I am also considering trades and moves in my keepers league. It started with me wanted to add an extra 1st round pick (1 more ticket for the McDavid sweep wouldn't hurt). I have no idea exactly if he is interested in the trade or proposal i have in mind (didn't get any reply back), but I am thinking about using they buying low, selling high strategy to clear some space to pick up Zetterberg.
Basically, I would be giving up Hanzal, Silfverberg and high pick (likely 3rd) to get Jenner, Olli Jokinen (so I can drop and use his caphit), and the 1st. Not sure what he will say, but I am offering a guy with decent production so far (with our points system, Hanzal is a PPG player right now), and one good young asset that can turn out big.

Another move would be giving Palmieri and Beleskey for Tatar (the guy wants to get rid of him and he is looking for something to help him out now. Beleskey is PPG in my league and Palmieri is, again, a good asset for future.

I have no clue how things will turn out. I don't think I will pull it through (especially the 1st one), but maybe he will see something worth negotiating.

Opinion?

Time for my E.Kane addition to pay some dividends. Burn on the guy in my keeper pool who dropped him last week.

Perfect! I picked up Svedberg to fill my goalie gap until Crawford comes back. Hoping for him to blank the Sabres tonight.

Chances of that happening are about 80%. Sabres are on pace for relegation into the AHL.

so option1: give up hanzal, silfverberg and your third round pick for his jenner, jokinen and his first round?

just kind of confused...where does zetterberg fall into this?

Tatar isnt off to a great start; but that could change...Beleskey and Palmieri are both decent, but IMO not game changers.

go over option 1 some more if you dont mind..

Great chance he has a big night. Boston is starting to sort things out..and Buff is not by any means a good team.

I still cant believe SJ lost to them!

I put Chara on IR so I can hold off on that decision for a bit. Might end up dropping Ladd for Kane eventually but Ladd has been playing well recently. People in my pool also dropped Wisniewski and Mason recently so I will be keeping a close eye on picking those two up as upgrades over Sekera and Pavelec.

Yeah, wasn't too clear lol. Zetterberg is a free agent right now. Doing that trade will allow me to clear enough space to pick him up.

Here's one thing I have been thinking about. I could make a small minor trade to clear enough room (like Palmieri vs Jenner) and then pick up Perron (just been dropped). Less production than Zetterberg, but I would keep Silfverberg and Hanzal in my lineup.

Mason may be getting replaced by Emery...so keep an eye on both if you need a goalie upgrade.

as for Ladd - keep him, he's red hot right now...Kane I hope comes out flying, but may take him a couple games...

As for Wizniewski...i think hes a great D man - if you can get him and hes an upgrade over one of your D - do it.

Ok i see what you are saying..zberg healthy is a very good player to have on your team...just dpends what you have to give up like you said.

Perron hasnt scored yet, he has some assists so far but should heat up in due time..

I think taking a run at zetterberg may not be such a bad idea.

all three games are tough ones..

Gibson has been great since being recalled.

Keumper got eating up in the third period of last game so hes going to want to get back on track.

Varlamov is due for a big win and the Isles have their backup in...

all 3 are tough games, Varlamov i think may be your best bet even though COL has struggled.

Are both Palmieri and Jenner still hurt or just Jenner?

thats not bad, Hanzal is under rated...perron SHOULD get it together at some point...he missed pre season if i recall.

when i returned the pumpkins, the people laughed - they thought it was funny and in good taste as it was moreso a joke than anything else.

mind you, they didnt have to go out and get new pumpkins so that was likely why they were happy
