HockeyBuzz Wire: John Moore Suspended 5 Games
- hockeybuzz_wire

It was the absolutely right call for 5 games. It wasn't a late hit, it was not an elbow, initial point of contact was the shoulder not the head. They clearly looked at all of the right replays. Moore needs to make sure he drives through the body and he didn't do that.

Nope!
It was a dirty hit!
You can rationalize all you want. If that play was John Scott on Zuccarello. You would be screaming for a life time ban.
Intent seems pretty clear (Although I wont try and pretend to know what he was thinking)Seems to me he got off pretty easy.

It should have been a match penalty and a suspension no doubt, but the statement release by NHL is what I agree with. Not late hit, not an elbow to the head, Moore could've driven through the body and laid him out legally but instead made contact with his head. Poor timing and angle on his part.

And that's way fans don't make this decision, they would make the emotional and irrational choice you're talking about.

Didn't Kreider smoke somebody too? What did he get?

Smokes with speed, his rep is pure fiction and how can it be boarding when the bit was from the goal line, next time Brodin needs to think twice before trying to stop a train and before you bring up Price and Anderson go blame Emelin and Methot

Don't worry his description of the incident is pretty inaccurate anyway. Brodin was all numbers and Kreider plowed his elbow into his back on the goal line.

I don't think he's a dirty player but I think he can be reckless at times. But another incident where he blatantly crushes someone from behind 5ft off the boards and I would sure hope he gets suspended.

Yeah i agree - i dont think he's trying to kill people but i also dont think he's very smart with what he does sometimes as far as crashing nets and smoking people with speed.

Kreider had about a full 3 seconds to get out of the way but decided to smoke Brodin into the boards anyway. This isin't your garden variety "player turned his back to the play".

Doesn't matter. Both players acted stupidly. Man I only plated roller hockey and I would never do something as stupid as skating in front of a 250 lb recjing ball, slow down in front of him and turn my back. I think the player turning their back on an oncoming player deserves the suspension. That never us happen in hockey and now players do it all the time to try and buy a call. Its just plain stupid.

With that being said. CK20 is also not a Flockin genius either. He needs to see that and wrap the player up. Not slam em into the boards.

I agree, his speed and size make him reckless, this was at the goal line and Brodin still made it to the boards, that's freakish strength

.03 of a second maybe, Brodin slammed on the brakes to hold him off

Not really. If Brodin was standing still maybe but pushing a guy from behind, while you're skating at full speed, who is already moving forward isn't really a freakish display of strength as it is a normal display of basic physics. If they were both just standing there and Kreider pushed him and he flew 5ft into the boards...that would be freakish to me.

definitely not a genius haha - he's like the Luis Mendoza except he jumped over goalies and players didnt run into them.

That sounds a little closer to the first description I heard.
