I'm already on board. 8 straight losses to start the season? It's already game over for the team. gotta go about 45-27-2 or similar the rest of the season to make the playoffs. Not happening. Might as well aim for the bottom.

We have the makings of an NHL sequel to "Major League." The Canes have an owner who wants to sell the team (Karmanos), a GM who has no money to spend(Francis), a first year coach (Peters) and high priced talent that is just high priced (Semin, Ward). Unfortunately they lack the rest of the pieces to make the comeback storyline.

I have to admit I was thinking the same thing. It is hard to watch a game, if that is what you can call it, nowadays. I didn't expect much out of the 'canes this season and I can say they are living up to my expectations.... A little more then I would like

Think E Staal could be on the move this year? So many different people thinking its possible. Although there are also alot of people saying he'll stay cause marc may want to sign in Carolina in the offseason. Interesting to say the least.

He's said that he talked with the owner and Ron Francis this summer about his future with the Hurricanes and their plans for the future and he plans on staying. Unless a new owner comes in with a new plan, Eric Staal will not waive his NTC.
