Flyers next?

I wonder if it'll be our annual "Leave the D at home" game v. Philly. Always some of the best bad hockey of the season.

As for tonight. Awesome. Kucherov might be okay

Loved the Johnson, Kucherov and Palat line. They controlled the play almost every time they were on the ice.

Killorn seemed off or out of place with Stamkos and Filppula. Do you think he gets shuffled around?

I thought he had decent net presence tonight, but his timing was a little off. He's just coming back after missing a few, and that top line, as long as Cally is out, needs that big body, crash and bang, two-way guy.

Is that what you think will happen when Callahan comes back? There are so many guys that can fit on the top 6. I would like to see Palat back with Stamkos, I just love the way he battles and wins the puck in the corners and along the boards.

Anyway it was a great game tonight, Tampa looked like a team that was out to prove something. They need to keep it up, never take that foot off the gas.

I think that's why Callahan was put there. Adding Drouin gives you the playmaker to complement the sniper and the battler.

Do you see this when the entire team is healthy?

1) Drouin-Stamkos-Callahan
2A) Killorn-Filppula-Connolly
2B) Palat-Johnson-Kucherov
4) Morrow-Boyle-Brown
Paquette and Vlad both go back down, bring up Blunden to ride the pine.

I just wonder if Cooper will actually do it, he has been reluctant so far this year to go Stamkos-Filppula-Johnson-Boyle down the middle.

Garrison-Gudas
Carle-Sustr/Brewer

This is an odd place to bring this up but does anyone else follow the ESPN RSS feed for Hockey? It's how I watch for the articles here as well.

The Bolts had a great game last night and still aren't in the headlines there. They barely ever are unless losing to a NE team.

Thanks Michael for reporting both the good and the bad.

We that was a complete TRAVASTY of a game! Where do I start with all of our issues?

WTF was Bishop doing? Mailing it in? (frank)ing three goals!!!! May as well put a cardboard cutout of Lindback in, it would have been better. For Pete's sake he let BJ Crombeen score!

Why is Gudas still on our roster? (frank)ing guy his a three inch pipe instead of 24 square feet of open net? What a sack o poop....

Hey Stamkos, you make more them most of us will ever see, how about you put up some points?

(frank)ing Stralman didn't improve his +/- this game! WTF are they paying you for? You (frank)ing euro ice dancer!

Well, at least we'll get a shot McDavid!

Term: Skating circles around your opponent

Definition: TJ, Palat, and Kucherov

Wow was that line buzzing all night, literally cycling the puck and skating circles through the zone on damn near every shift. Yotes were playing slow and loose but even more importantly we were playing fast. From the beginning the forwards were back-checking and creating turnovers, from there speed and forechecking did the rest. Mike Smith didn't have a chance and the Yotes coach was right to not single him out. I was very pleased to see the team maintain the effort for all 60 minutes as we avoided our "usual" 2nd period sleep-skating.

Michael did you see this? Cooper has acknowledged it finally. Admitted injuries have prevented it so far.

Ew Gudas on the 2nd pairing? No way... I'd much rather see Carle there.. Gudas is out of position a lotttttttt

It's based on Cooper wanting a right handed and left handed defensive pairing.

Hedman (L) - Stralman (R)
Garrison (L) - Gudas (R)
Carle (L) - Sustr (R)
Brewer (L)
Barberio (L)

Carle-Gudas was a disaster last year so Garrison has played pretty much the whole year with Gudas when Gudas has been healthy. With Hedman out they have moved Carle with Stralman and put Brewer with Sustr to keep the L-R dynamic. When both Gudas and Hedman were out they were forced to play two left handers with Brewer and Barberio together as Sustr went up to play with Garrison.

What I like best is we have depth.

Game Day. Time to kick some Flyer butt. They're playing better but not firing on all cylinders yet so time to score early and often. 6-1 Bolts.
