I have to imagine that once MSG's deal runs out with the Sabres in 2016, Time Warner is going to make a run for the Sabres' TV rights if Pegula doesn't start his own network first, or at least bring a Fox Sports or a Root Sports affiliate to the region.

I am not sure what his time table for near future is, but I would say those are the first call ups for injury this year.

I would guess that if he were to start a new station, it would be under a new name completely. I believe technically, Time Warner has the rights to that channel should it ever choose to bring it back (which will never happen).

I highly doubt it. Ted Black was asked that question last week on WGR and basically said no. It is very difficult to start a new station, let alone get the NHL to sign off allowing you to broadcast the games. Not to mention the National broadcasts on NBC and the blackout restrictions etc etc.

have them sign up on PBS channel 17. They are always asking for money via telethons. Think they had 80mil surplus one year.
