Adjusting to adversity

Hunwick has been good. Makes mistakes that expect from your 7th d-man while playing more minutes. But he's head and shoulders above Kostka. Mueller being a RHS on the off side on the power play could be big. Especially if Zuccs and Brass continue to find their games.

Good blog Jan.

Mueller has looked good the 2 games he has been in the lineup. Not only is it good to have these guys step up when there is an injury, also helps if someone is slumping and needs to ride the pine for a couple games.

As for the drop off in comments, probably because of the break in the schedule.

Doesn't help that the Rangers have had a few Sunday evening, night games. Pitting them vs. NFL, specifically the Giants. Once the Jets finally kick the bucket and the Giants pull of their typical Giants nonsense, the comments will come.

Yeah its been a weird schedule. I'm assuming that's the reason, or its because Matt hasn't showered since the Rangers started winning.

Nothing wrong with the writing Jan, I think its about that time of year when everyone is off the summer hangover and back to work during the day lol...also, probably because of a combination of things with the team, things just aren't very exciting right now. Our lineup seems to be very up in the air because of the issue down the middle, every player with the exception of Nash is still trying to find their game. Plus the schedule hasn't exactly been very enticing with games against western teams, Carolina, etc... Isles and Devs were nice though but without Brodeur/Hank matchup, its lost a little steam for me there too. I think what we need is a few Bruins or Philly games to get things going lol.

I think since it's early in the season we're not seeing the rash of trolls we saw towards the end. The comments will increase in a few weeks

It pisses me off. The Rangers have one frankin game next week, Monday. Guess what Dallas plays Monday night this week. They are doing this on purpose. Why can't the Rangers game be any other day next week.

Matt might have to be forced to have the funk for a while, especially if Kreider continues to play well.

Either that or lose 4 in a row so that basically have no realistic shot at the playoffs. But then they win 4 in row. Screwing themselves out of top 10 pick.

Fully Healthy I would like to see:

Kreider Hayes Nash
Duclair Stepan St. Louis
Hagelin Brassard Zuccarello
Malone Moore Stempniak

If Duclair is gonna stay, I think its important to have him play with Stepan and St. Louis who are both very good and responsible defensively. That could allow Duke to be free'd up a little and at the same time, he could benefit from learning a bit from those 2.

Yeah, I know. It blows, Dallas finally playing real well and every time I get to watch it its during a Rangers game.

I think he might have to fight Duguay. He was all excited about Kreider before the Devils game.

We don't have to fight...we can have a hair off. His flow is nice but I can get him with my clean cut look.

I wonder if he has a mirror in his house. He is either color blind or confident. His wardrobe usually looks like a thrown up bag of skittles. I think you will lose the hair battle though. He has flowing hair like the mane of a galloping steed.

Schedule + early + I think at most jobs (such as mine) fall is the busiest time before thanksgiving when everyone goes "(frank) it, not really putting in the effort the next month and a half"

Also the rangers are actually doing well right now. People love complaining when things are tough. Those people dont show up as much when theres nothing to be pissed about.

Maybe Mueller stays at center when Stepan comes back and Hayes moves over to wing. Not sure who sits, but it might be Malone.

Hayes obviously has an issue or two at center. It's really just faceoffs that really give him a problem. But he's played well, especially between Kreider and Nash.

Yeah I would like to keep him at center growing pains and all. He could turn into that big center everyone was clamoring for in the summer.
