It's not like he hasn't gotten his chances in the past!
A definite NO!! To many younger, cheaper goalies that, worst comes to worst, will be just as good but have potential to be better.

With the offensive juggernaut that they are, they don't need Lunkdvist type goaltending, they need good D and a little above average goalie yet not a superstar goalie to win the Cup again...

If he returns, it comes with a pay cut. 3 year deal at a max. I would like to see Griess make some starts. Why sign him if zatkoff was already in the fold?? There's discussion that he's ready to be a starting goalie, so let's see what he can do. Griess' stats are comparable to Fleurys. Yes, MAF has a cup but that was an eternity ago.

Tonight should be showin Greiss in the net.... Come on 1 goal or less to start to put some heat on Fleury

Fleury carry the team to playoffs when Crosby and Malkin were injured long term at the same time... Just saying you bunch of wanna be smart negative inspectors.

Old man Ruth likes gamesmanship. He probably wants Fleury to feel some level of comfort. I can't see a scenario besides bringing back the cup that merits him being resigned. There's no value there anymore.

Tanner is good! Lot of great stuff and he really thinks out of the box. Each to their own but I enjoy most of his blogs. Feel fortunate we have a dedicated blogger like him. Some teams do not exist on HB.
As for Fleury, trade him to San Jose for Niemi, both guys just need a change of scenery. Cap issues, see what Greiss can do.

Since we're going this way oel and Yandle are overrated and neither are going to win a Norris (lmao) on that bum team.
