Devils were strong until that Mueller goal. Rangers push back was impressive in the third. They need to use this win as a springboard to get on a good roll. Their schedule is favorable for the next few weeks, let's go.

Jan, totally agree with you about Hunwick. He is showing that he is very capable of entering the lineup and not being liability back there, which is really all we need from the guys on the 3rd pairing.

Next on the agenda for Ranger haters: Mueller is carrying Kreider's game when they're out there together

You know who has a reach just as long as Boyle, Hayes. I hope the coaching staff notices this and has him working through the PK lines in practice. A PK line of Hags and Hayes would be pretty good. Hayes' reach and patience with the puck combined with Hags speed and great board work might be a deadly combo.

Not that this should ever be an excuse, but the officiating has been terrible. I think the majority of the penalties called on both teams were nothing more than judgement calls, and when every single one of those judgement calls becomes a penalty, you have to wonder if the refs have their egos in check.

That win was so sweet, especially when you get to rub it in your bosses face!

I can't dislike Jagr no matter how many divisonal rivals he plays for.

The guy is just an absolute monster offensively.

Hunwick looks great in my opinion. He is a good skater, knows when to pinch offensively, can shoot the puck and is not a liability defensively.

Moore is the seventh defensemen, when Boyle returns, as far as I am concerned.

I'd love for him to come back to NY but that'll never happen. You think he finishes with the Devs?

Nah, the Rangers have their elder statesmen legend forward already. Jagr will likely go out a Devil.

Thought Hundwick had a very solid game and I agree that J. Moore has slipped down the depth chart a bit. This is only a good thing for the Rangers going forward.

My wife asked me who took my tickets to last nights game, I told her it was at the Rock so she asked why there were so many rangers fans there. Bless her heart.

Devils will continue to pay him as long as he continues to play like he did last night. He was their best player and it wasn't even close. Every time he was out there he was dangerous.

Yup, but could you imagine Crosyby & Jagr on the same line. Their puck possession would be insane. Jagr by himself is a tank with the puck, Crosby is no slouch either.

Jagr has to be the one who controls the play though. He seems to thrive when he is the quarterback and not the receiver. Regardless, the man is way beyond his prime, in the pro sports world, and he still continues to dominate.

Like I was saying earlier, I will never have a bad thing to say about him, no matter which team he plays for. I will always respect him for carrying this organization, on his back, and bringing them back to respectability.

Who knows how things would have turned out, but I wonder what would have happened if the Rangers kept him 6 years ago. They clearly thought he was on the downside, and they wanted to be Drury and Gomez's team. Not that I am complaining, because they have been successful, but still, I wonder.

Well we might not have the Kreiders, Stepans, McDonaghs and other americans. Team could be united to a different nation haha

No sense in wondering but it's clearly the worst decision Sather has made while running this team.

Yes, even worse than Hugh Jessiman in 2003. Jagr would have bridged the team's most mediocre period, since the 05-06 lockout, which were the three immediate seasons after he took off to Russia. The team turned things around obviously in 2011-2012 but those three years, in between, were as bland as it could get.
