There is a HUGE difference between you not liking or feeling engaged in school and Draisaitl going to Europe (cause he ain't going to PA again, as per him). First off, this is a game he loves and has devoted his entire life to playing; regardless of the competition, I'm sure he'll be engaged and active. Secondly, going to a European league (ideally the Liiga or the SHL) would have him playing close to AHL-level competition. He'd also be learning the possession focused styles of European coaches which has it's uses on players of his ilk.

If MacT can find a middle-6 C for a reasonable price (Brodziak, Kelly, etc), he should absolutely send him down/away.

While hasn't been a huge liability, to say he hasn't hurt the team is just fallacy. His presence (along with Yakupov's when they're on separate lines) has forced Eakins to use the top line as a secondary shutdown line as opposed to getting them high off. zone starts which has somewhat hindered their offense to start.

Cookbooks, greeting cards, menus...there are many other choices than a hockey writer Ryan...you should explore those choices a little deeper.

Jesus. Let this guy go back to junior where he can win. Sorry, but hanging around a bunch of losers, with the exception of maybe Taylor hall, ain't gonna help him develop. Let him dominate the whl, then the Ahl then play him when he's truly ready.

I want him sent down. Whether it's the whl or europe, doesn't matter to me. I prefer the whl as its North American style and playing in several different leagues in a few years may not be great (pitlick for example). I will say the idea of playing better talent in the SEL has its benefits.

I just want him playing in a league where he can develop his quickness a bit and d zone coverage without being burned for every mistake and having the media tear into him. Sounds familiar here.

I'm completely indifferent with him either being up or sent down. He has a learning curve and center is much tougher than winger. I'd rather see a trade happen to get a Brodziak before LD is sent down though.

I think he stays, he's looked better every game and finally has gotten some scoring chances. His first step may be slow but we didn't draft him for speed, besides it'll improve with time

Does Draisaitl play with Purcell and Perron?

Because if so, that line is a combined minus 21.

Tough spot to be in, too big and skilled to return to junior, not enough veteran depth to shelter the kid.

Can management not contemplate loaning him over to the Elite league or something? The big ice would give him the opportunity to work on his horrid skating at the very least.

Depends how he is doing. Be a shame not to send him if he's having consistency issues or struggling in the NHL.

Send him to europe, at least then he can watch the 24hr star wars channel
