For people so sure of their place, these particular Kings "fans" sure do spend a lot of time in here telling us how bad we are at different aspects of the game/business.

I wonder why that is.

I don't think there's any possible way that anyone can know that yet. The guy hasn't even played in 10 games. As evidenced by his preseason this year, he's probably not NHL ready yet, but that doesn't mean he won't be after a season or two in Norfolk.

Bernier started out the same way. He played a handful of NHL games in 2007 and got lit up, got demoted to Manchester and won the AHL Vezina, then came up and put up exceptional numbers as Quick's backup, and now he's the starting goaltender in Toronto.

It's way too early to say that he's "overrated", just as it's way too early to say that he's going to turn into an effective starting NHL goalie.

Who else is going to do it? We are the Philadelphia to your Pittsburgh. The Montreal to your Boston. The Newman to your Seinfeld. Someone has to keep you guys on your toes.

I have a feeling the goalie situation will turn out A LOT like LAs a few years back

While Bernier was suppose to be the up and coming goalie of the future Quick steals the spotlight in tremendous fashion which eventually led to Berniers departure in LA.

I feel Andersen is going to end up being the goalie of the future of the Ducks while getting a great return for gibson. Bernier was a highly touted young goalie but never panned out in LA while Quick emerged as the #1. Do I think Gibson has a little more talent than Bernier. Yes slightly. I think Bernier has more calmness to him but overall skill Gibson may have the edge.

Andersen is playing rediculous hockey and reminding me of Quick before he actually became the #1.

Gonna be interesting to see Gibsons next game and if it's against BUF that doesn't count lol. Hell be playing just another AHL team

Love the analogy but can we be Philadelphia? Lol.

There is never any good reason to be Philly.

Maybe in the hockey sense. But I like them better than Pittsburgh

Both goalies will be RFA's in 2016-2017. Currently they have a combined salary of under 2 million. Gives the Ducks a couple years to sort out the goalie situation. I doubt either one will be traded soon, especially if you take the favorable cap hit into consideration.

While Andersen has been fantastic, still too early to write Gibson off. He has "elite" potential, and I think the Ducks would be foolish to not take a "wait and see" approach with him. The Ducks have plenty of other assets to trade should the situation arise.

Oh, good, we've found more common ground. And we don't like you guys either. But personally, I still like your style.

Considering a lot of hockey analysts call LA "Philadelpha West" due to the large amounts of players and coaches we have from there, I think it's appropriate that we are Philly.
