Perron was far from horrible.
He wasn't great or maybe even not even good, but made a few good plays and wasn't a liability. No stupid penalties or major gaffs that I recall. |

Ryan Garner: Victory! Oilers Finally Find the Win Column - Ryan Garner
Perron gets abit too fancy at times, causing turnovers, but he was engaged and was important in us rolling 4 lines. I don't understand what u saw
and tonight joensuu wasn't at his best, but he may have been our best forward just last game. And his quality play overall adding to that line has far outweighed the bad

Draisaitl is going to Europe if they send him back. Either way he should have great success, he's shown flashes of brilliance for such a young man. If will actin gets his job that would be a very poor move. Still don't see why we don't give mueller a PTO |

I am going to just come out and say it. Eakins, still terrible. Nail again comes out flying. Is the reason for Shultz goal. 2 min of ice time that period. 10 minutes in total. Now I am not saying Nail is top line. He is probably not even second line at this point. What I am saying is he is not 4 th line. He takes the body, he has moves and yet Pouliot with more TIO, who has less points than Nail keeps getting PP time.
Plus I have to say it. I said Marincin should be up. They say him and Fayne looked good. I think Marincin carried Fayne but that is IMO. I do know that Eakins has to at least regret having Pouliot as the shoot out anchor after seeing how easy Hall made that look. Nail also leads Pouliot and Purcell in Points, TKA, he has 1 and 2 less shots respectively averaging 40% less ice time. Plus the other two have PP time and PP points. Nail also leads them in hits.
You can't tell me a statistics guy like Eakins isn't holding a grudge. Nail is not just being wasted on the bench his development is seriously damaged. This has to weigh on him, his confidence, his morale and quite frankly, his ability to develop the skill set that made him our first overall draft. Eakins didn't win this game. Our top line and Scrivens did. |

Good game. Some good luck for a change and not so much bad luck.
I don't watch the Oilers that much but one thing that stood out was how the Ds more often throw the puck out of the zone instead of carrying it out. Almost as if they're afraid of making a mistake.Reminds me a bit of how the Sutters discouraged rushing Ds like Jbo for years. With a team that can skate as fast as the Oilers they could at least dump and chase better than they do. |

Stupid leaf fans actually think the oilers would trade eberle for Gardner. Give your head a shake. |

I like Perron a lot. I think he could be the second best Oiler some nights. However he is one of the 4 forwards we have that has real value and we desperately need a centerman. Leon is actually doing good for a rookie at face offs but he can play wing. He has in the past. If Perron can get us a Center of value, then pull the trigger. If not keep him. We need a center, what we don't need is randomly trading away talent just because.
I am sorry but we need to see what this team can do under different management, not different players. |

You guys need D help as well.
A trade around Sutter/Dumoulin for Perron+ or Yakupov should work. |

Not getting all the Yak hate from Eakins. Last night he was noticeable on each shift and back-checked hard. Trading him would be a mistake.

I can typically understand when there is constant penalty kil time. But last night it wasn't the case. They need to get him more minutes |

The only bigger mistakes this team could make would be trading hall or the upcoming draft pick |
