Why was Mason down in the butterfly on the first goal before the pass? Is there a reason to play that play like that? If he stood up he would have more power to get cross crease. Or am I missing something?

I love the fight they showed in the third period but man was the defense especially atrocious tonight

Good win, ugly game.

Bellemare looks solid.

2 really good games in a row from Brayden Schenn.
Also thought that was Read's best effort of the year.

Ugly game but fun to watch.

Jamie Benn would have been a great Flyer.
What a player.

because the 17 flyers between seguin and daley should never let a pass get through them. he was in okay position there to stop seguin or spezza, who are the only two guys a shot should have been able to come from under normal circumstances.

Thanks - in watching again, seems it was in reaction to Spezza - who could have shot or passed. Was focused on the insane amount of time Seguin had.

Not a "I told you so" post. Most here know it is a long term trade and not a short term one. Of course I don't like the trade either way but this is just an update. Too early for big conclusions.

Hartnell with his 4th assist and led his team last night in ice time for a forward. He is doing well in CB as expected. RJ with his first assist last night and continues to look good on the PK.

New strategy for berube.... Start games with an empty net until the other team gets ahead by two goals

It's a win but the Flyers aren't going to win many games until they get their coverages fixed. To many times there was a Star standing unguarded by the net which resulted in several goals.

Hopefully the return of Coburn will make the Flyers forays into their own zone less like the Keystone Cops.

I thought for sure they were headed to another shootout loss until that puck popped out in front of the stars net in OT.

I thought the team played better than many are crediting them for. Dallas stars have serious firepower. Every team in the league will yield goals against a high powered team. Flyers did a good job of not wilting going into the 3rd and were definetly determined.

Stars have an awesome lineup that's going to create. I thought the flyers managed it

And voracek is a monster. He looks even bigger stronger and less patient this year. Great to see

Couts and Read and Corpse did a solid job against one of the best lines in hockey. Even had their share of offensive chances.

We myself included were busting on Berube yesterday for playing Vandevelde over Akeson but the Flyers fourth line was pretty good last night.
Rinaldo had his act together which was nice. Looked good on PK even.

And your right about Voracek. He was a beast[/img]

Just another bleary eyed Sunday morning!

Glad they won, love their heart. But good lord, their play in the D zone is just frightening! I feel for Mason and Emery.

I think Mindy Muff missed the mark. It looked like to me that Dallas did try to sit on the lead in the 3rd period. They had like no shots for the first 11 minutes.
