Boychuk looked hungry last night. If he can put a couple more games like that together he may finally stick. Semin did not look good at all. He had some point blank chances where he completely missed the net. The Canes as a whole couldn't hit the net. At one point the TV broadcast had a graphic the Canes had 12 shots on goal and 17 shots that missed the net. Pathetic.

With all the injuries to our forwards I don't understand why Francis didn't try to sign Gagne. Boston just got him for $650,000 for a 1 year deal. His veteran presence could have helped.

I assume because he has quickly realized that winning games with this lineup isn't in the cards.

Both teams looked awful last night. Carolina might be the better team overall, if Ward is playing like he can. Time for Carolina to follow suit and burn it down and start over. Top 3 pick for both these teams next year.
