Could've gotten either leddy or boychuk for 2nd rounders and a bag of pucks. Canes' missed the boat on this one, IMHO.

Francis is not in a position to take on salary.
Adding one of those two means either somebody expensive goes through waivers, or one of Murphy/Bellemore is an AHLer. Canes can't add a defenseman at this point without ridding themselves of one or two in the process. |
