There are never any trades on the horizon in the NHL. GM's work two days in July and are off until the trade deadline. |

It sucks but I'm not super upset about missing a preseason game that features Alan Quine centering Bailey and McDonald. |

I think some people had comments about him after he looked really good in that rookie scrimmage. |

This lineup is mostly crap. I won’t be too upset I’m missing this one.
All we can hope is for multi-point games from strome and lee, and that it makes the decision to send them down tougher to explain for Capuano. I suspect that with Snow’s habit of trying not to lose something for nothing that we may not see any of the vets on waivers and our only look at strome and lee in the regular season will be when we see some injuries.
Still holding out hope they’ll surprise me and either waive boulton, mcdonald, carkner or make a deal to make some room….or both. Both would be ideal.

Can we catch it on the internet somewhere?
I wouldn't mind watching the Conacher... Grabo... Kule line and the Strome... Neilsen... Lee line.
Plus... Reinhart on "D".
Bailey... he is public enemy #1!!!
It is like they are setting him up to look even worst than normal... which is pretty hard to do... |

He was a Wings draft pick that went back into the draft because they never signed him, we scooped him in the 6th round last year. Kinda like Kichton with us and Lukas Sutter , who we took in the 7th round this year, with the Jets. |

I know a lot of this is fueled by the conjecture of one beat reporter, but why would the Isles' braintrust choose to continue to fill out the bottom six with McDonalds, Martins, etc. after seeing what kind of success the Kings, Hawks, Rangers and Habs all had with rolling 4 lines of players capable of generating offense? |

It makes no sense to me either but we'll see what the weekend brings for cuts. |

There are better players for the top nine to replace Grabner than Colin McDonald. He's a fringe 4th liner bringing back memories of Richard Park, shouldn't make the team, period. |
