Want nothing to do with Moore being a 2nd line center. I think it would be a huge mistake to have Moore be the center for Nash & MSL(or whatever combination it will be) over Miller. Is Miller as defensively responsible as Moore, no, but Miller is much more gifted offensively than Moore.

If I remember correctly they moved Moore up last year for a time, and it did not work out.

IDK why people keep saying 9 games with Duclair, because his contract gets burned no matter what this year, they can keep him as long as they want

Miller needs to start producing more consistently.

Sure looks to me like the Rangers have found a gem in Duclair. This kid has shown great wheels & hands. In a few years it's probably not going to be fun for the Flyers to see him 4-5 times per year. Even if for rival teams, I still enjoy watching these guys progress.

He just recently turned 19. A player's contract can slide unless he turns 20 by January 1st (or some date thereabout) of the upcoming season. So, as far as I know, he could play the (up to) 9 games and then slide if sent back. Unless I'm missing something.

However, if that is not the case, the Rangers should be putting him in a top-9 role ASAP. Hell, even if he CAN slide, they may want to keep him up.

Got to give the (frank)ing kid a chance 1st. Jesus, let him play a couple games as the 2nd line center, if it doesn't work out, fine change it up. Moore was already tried last year, it didnt work.

There is a ton of confusion. Apparently we have 10 games, not 9, because of him counting as a contract after 11 games. The 9 game rule as you said doesn't apply now.

He can't slide because of when he signed (suggestion by his agent) That's his point. Basically we can't have it slide anyway due to the contract so who cares about the 9 games. As the link i posted said, if you know your gonna get caught cheating on your wife anyway, might as well have some more fun with it

Yes, but his contract slot also counts. They'd be forced into a trade, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but most teams aren't in a trading mood, especially for basically a throw-away player, during the first 1/2 month of the season.

The blogger mentions Kristo as a possible player to move. Most teams want to give their AHL rosters a chance to settle in, and not many teams will want him for their NHL roster. Basically, you're saying to another team, "Give us a draft pick to carry our trash around.". I think they'd have to make a trade of somewhat significant value to free up the slot.

you're right. give him as long as Step is out, if he shows that sending him back provides no upside to his development then keep him, he's got NHL speed and finishing ability

I think between last year and this year he's been given his chances. He still is playing between Nash and MSL I think. I'd say he's still the favorite...just wish hed produce more is all.

Trade Troy Donnay for a 7th round pick, we don't need some of these low end projects, he's a towering pile-on

I wouldn't necessarily call Kristo trash but you are right, not many teams are trying to trade and certainly no team is trying to the rangers any favors. Boston and chicago have been trying to pull off a simple cap dump for a while now and no luck.

MSL said he would play Center, how about Duclair-MSL-Nash? Whaaaaat, did I just make you soil yourself?

I think AV already shot down MSL as center. Gotta love it though, St Louis sent AV that text one night. MSL can't stop thinking on how to make the team better. Bleeding blue.

I think I have lost all hope for the Ranger fanbase, this place is my only salvation.

People on blogs and especially on facebook just do not get this 51 contract thing, news of having to get rid of a contract to accomodate Duclair has people now trading Nash, Staal, Girardi. I am sorry to say, but we have some really dumb people rooting for our team.

Trash isn't the right term, but I think you know what I mean. He's not a player teams are lining up to to and pry away.

Only one other decent forum and that is the New York Rangers main fan page on FB. Other than that, it's bad, it's all bad.

My thing with Duclair, is if they find a way to keep him, I think he needs top line minutes. Kid has some sick skills.
