True, but now back to hockey. Do you guys think Strome will make the opening day roster without any trades? I say no because he has options. And what does he have to do tonight to earn a spot?

I think Vis is going to have another year of playing 20 or so games. I just get the feeling that his body is starting to fail, aside from the concussion stuff. He can't be relied upon. Any games he plays in will be a bonus.

Going out on a limb, i think the opening night "D" is going to be Vis, Hammer, de Haan, Hickey, Strait, Reinhart and Carkner. I hope they waive Carkner so a kid can come up, maybe Czuczman or Donovan, but that won't happen. Bright side, I like the idea of Pulock, Mayfield, Czuczman, Donovan, being your available call-ups when guys get hurt. Certainly better than in years past, when the isles would peddle out guys like Mark Katic or Aaron Ness.

this may sound harsh but I saw enough of ness last year that I'm not interested in how he's progressing. He's behind too many kids now and unlikely to see the NHL again as an islander IMO.

Boston would never trade Bergeron. Anyhow we don't need another center. We want Boychuk. Donavan and 2nd pick for Boychuk
