John Scott can take Sesito and Kassian at the same time. I'm really looking forward to see Tye Mcginn this season.

Personally I can't see the Sharks putting a player with a one-way contract in the minors. It's not usually their policy. Hertl and Nieto are on two-way contracts but both played pretty well last year so unless they have a disastrous camp they will probably be coming back. That means barring injury, the only real spot up for grabs is one spot on defence.

Not to get too down on Doherty, but we have been hearing that this is going to be his break out year for the last 4 years. I think the spot is Mueller's to lose, but wouldn't count out more experienced guys like Tennyson and Fedun.

Of course there is the Torres injury, so that does open up one extra forward spot. Unless you move Nieto and Hertl out of the top 6, this will likely be a bottom 6 spot. A guy like Hamilton or McGinn would be a good fit there.

Can somebody please clarify which game will be televised? A lot of people are saying it's the Vancouver game, but when you click on the info on the NHL Network, it says Stockton, California.

Just checked my television lineup and Sportsnet 360 is broadcasting the game in Vancouver. I would assume that the NHL Network information on nhl.com is an error and that they are picking up the Vancouver game as well.

Well first he needs to sign a contract, but yes! that would finally fix our bottom 6 issues for good if he can come in and play well. Imagine at the end of the season Thornton being our 3rd line center because he's still big and strong and getting older. maybe he can become a Mike Ricci type and grind out in the 3rd line as he ages.

Marleau - Couture - Nieto
Goldobin - Pavelski - Hertl
Wingles - Thornton - Torres(eventually)
Shepard - Desi - Kennedy

This would be ideal at the end of the season going into the playoffs, based on current players in the Sharks organization.

Ok this is unlikely scenario but it look like we are keeping Thornton and Marleau so something has got to give with these young guys coming in.
