Question Jan, has JT been primarily playing as center ?

I liked Hrivik last year at camp, skated hard and hit everything. Don't know what his ceiling is projected to be, but he seems like he would be a good 3rd liner.

Yes, he and Kevin Hayes has basically been playing center. On Hrivik, that's his likely role and probable upside.

Can we please swap Bourque and Fast in those lineups please? Bourque has no shot at this team and poor Fast having to play with Glass and Mueller while he sits and watches Hagelin and a hungry Miller play the high octane game he would thrive in.

Hags and Fast together is scary speed.

They don't have many players under the age of 30 to be honest. I think they are stocked with more than half, of their projected opening night roster, with at least 12 players over the age of 30.

Strangely though they do have some interesting prospects but the balance is not there. They are a pretty old hockey team and are making matters worse by inviting several has beens on their last hockey legs for tryouts.

Apparently Hayes hasn't really stood out yet but several other prospects have, mainly Miller and Lindberg. Hrivik is also a pretty interesting one.

The two guys I think from the Devils that will have good years despite their age are (of course) Jagr, dude is a machine. Also think Cammalleri has a good chance of being a solid player for the Devils.

Borque has been a standout so far actually. Doubt he's really on the radar and would rather see fast on that line as well.

Bourque has been a good soldier in the organization for a while now, broke the 20 goal barrier in Hartford last year. He deserves some quality pre-season time, despite being a huge long shot.

Outside hayes and miller I'm really pumped to see tanner glass. We finally get to see the most notorious and worst signing in rangers history finally step foot on the ice.

Agreed on both, think the Devils will actually be more competitive than a lot of naysayers.

Definitely comply with the detractors in regards to their AARP status but they do have some good pieces and Schneider is going to elevate his name and become a solid top five household name.

Dude can play and he is just entering his prime now.

I've basically counted him out in making the team...ever.

The kids I want to see crack this lineup are Miller, Hayes, Lindberg or Haggerty. Any combination of those two will be fine for me.

Absolutely the best thing the Devils did was let Marty go and hand the reins to Schneider.

Think a Hagelin, Miller, Stempniak would be a good 3rd line?

I think a lot of that has to do with the bad start we got off to last season. Lou and Pete likely want to make sure they guys who will most likely be playing in the nhl this year are ready to avoid losing so many points early on. I'm keeping an eye out for Boucher , severson , Matteau and bell if he is playing I can't remember off the top of my head lol

Edit no bell so I'll be watching to see what chemistry patty and havlat have together
