Todd Cordell: Devils Revamping 4th Line?

Again....not looking TOO much into the preseason lines from the opening of camp...but I don't think we'll see more than 1 of the CBGB line on at a time until the inevitable injuries. Even now we only even have 2 signed and both could be scratches.

Camm-Zajac-Jagr: Makes a lot of sense for the strategy of having a solid game-in, game-out top line...
Clowe-Henrique-Ryder: ....but on the same note, I think it leaves Henrique as odd many out overall. I really do like Clowe as a player when on the ice...unfortunately that doesn't happen enough. If healthy, Clowe could be a mid 50s pt player...but there are too many ifs around Henrique (looking at you too Ryder...)
Zubrus-Elias-Havlat: I'm actually looking forward to Elias-Havlat. I'm putting stock in Havlat being much what Sykora was 3 years ago trying to reboot his career. Elias just makes players better.

But that leaves us with Ruutu and Brunner on the 4th line. Even if both don't play to their potential all the time, I still take him both over all three remaining players. I hope JJ wins the battle and centers the two of them.

With that setup I'll be very interested to see how PDB manages ice times....and knowing him Larsson gets benched when Ryder makes a bad play...

Todd when will the first round of cuts be made and are they generally done at a certain point or just whenever ? How much time if any will kujawinski miss in rj due to camp and same for Baddock q and rehill ? Do you have predictions for some of these guys when they do go back to jr ? I know this is kujawinski last year and I had high hopes for him when we selected him do you think he has a big year as won't most of that Kingston team still be intact unless Bennett makes Calgary ?

he didnt skate yesterday and hasnt skated in the 1st or 2nd group today

It probably is. The team denied Clowe had a concussion last year, and I think they tried to do the same thing with Merrill, but Merrill admitted he had one when talking to the media.

Kids got horrible luck.
-fractures vertebrae in college
-gets hurt on 2nd shift of his first NHL game
-gets hit in the face with a puck that same season
-gets hurt on 1st day of training camp

and all of those injuries are just random, freak events. It's not like he keeps hurting his shoulder or a knee, where you know it's a reoccurring thing.

I fully support this.. tho I still want Carter as the extra, and not Gio or Bernier.. but Lou likes to screw around with nonsense.

We don't need an "identity line" that does nothing. And it's not like we don't have size and "identity". Clowe, Zubrus, Ruutu provide size on each of the 3 lines. It is what it is tho..

I clicked on it down the side this time where it says what's live now and there is 6 links they all have an option of stream or dl every time I try to stream nothing happens unless I press play and it says to watch movies create a free account

If you have rogers then you can get gamecenter live free until the end of the year as an alternate. Not sure how many preseason games actually get air time though
