It's easy to shut a guy like him down in a tourney where most expect him to be the best but stick him on a line with stamkos and good luck shutting them both down. When you are no longer the most dangerous player on the ice things will likely become easier for him.

Thought he was a lock to make the big club this year? Many people have him slated on Stamkos' wing. Good thing to know before my fantasy draft if not.

He's actually 63 years old... 18, 19 or 20 years from now (don't really care to look up his age) he'll be a fetus.

I would almost guarantee he'll be with the big club. Nothing left to prove in Junior.

He will be in the NHL this year and will be top three in Calder voting. I think that's one of the safest predictions anyone can make.

There's no question he'll be with the Lightning this year. And you're right that he'll be better protected by NHL caliber linemates. I'm just saying he needs time to adjust before he can really be the player we all think he can be.

He's either a LaFlamme or a LaFlamme.

His intensity will help him overcome any learning issues. It may take him a little time to achieve proper stamina for a grueling 82 game NHL season but Drouin has played so much hockey in the last couple of years, I don't think it will be an issue.

Kind of like Curtis Lazar has nothing left to prove in the CHL with the Edmonton Oil Kings, but can't be sent to the AHL with the Binghamton Senators. I'm sure he'll make it hard for Ottawa to send him back to the CHL this season.

There's no such thing as safe predictions for rookies or the Calder trophy.

Well it appears that your opinion of him and Boltprospects opinion on him differ greatly. Between you and Bolts prospect, which do you think I am going to rely on for information on Lightning players?

Boltprospects are anything but biased. They've called one player past performance a "hot dumpster fire". Feel free to continue you arrogance/biased labeling and name calling.

This article seems like complaining simply to complain about something on a slow day. It's rookie camp. He'll be fine. How you even talk about the word "bust" here is ridiculous.

no telling how good this kid can actually be til he makes the jump and gets some ice time. if he gets put on his back faster than a kardashian at the BET awards, then that's something they will need to work on.

I've been reading the thread....no name calling, just one fan (you) getting butthurt over a difference of opinion.

I'm a pitcher not a a catcher. However this special, special person constantly comes on the Lightning thread to troll. Speaking of which, who are you gonna take first overall next draft. Eventually they gotta start playing off.

Well probably McDavid since it appears in your infinite wisdom that is the only logical outcome for the Oilers.

Is that seriously the wittiest thing you could come up with?

From OP
'if you are drafted out of the CHL and don't make an NHL team and still have junior eligibility, you must be returned to your junior club and can not be assigned to the AHL. I know why this rule exists..'

I actually DON'T know why this rule exists, but am extremely curious. (?)

Money. CHL needs to at least enjoy the spoils of their NHL drafted stars for a bit longer. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to build their brand if every good 18 yr old was in the AHL or NHL.
