I don't think Subban has a shot at the backup role yet. Plan is for him to be the primary starter in Providence for at least a couple years id imagine. From everything I've heard it sounds like Subban could be comparable to (good) Quick or (bad) MAF. He seems to rely more on athleticism than technique. Hopefully he's more like Quick and less like Fleury lol.

What can you tell me about Chris Casto? As a B's fan, that's a name I barely recognized, but it seems he had a strong showing this week. Is that a name I should get to know or just a fringe prospect who had a good tournament?

Good info. I personally think DeAngelo is going to be boom or bust, no in-between. Obviously everyone talks about his character and dismisses it because he is young and that's how young people act, but that will determine if he's A or N(HL).

P.S. Never saw your twitter pic before, I prefer the brunette over blonde!

You have to remember that Subban started playing goalie late, so he might develop technique...provided he plays a lot, which won't happen behind Rask.

Subban played extremely well. Could be backup material ? Fallstrom from Harvard played very well. He deserved mention in this column.
