Do you not understand that he would reject that as he wants $6.5m per?

and if you were smart you would realize players are allowed to reject offers.... this one would be done with either laughter or sent back in the form of ashes

THIS, if this report is true then Zito and Kekkaleine are showing to the hockey world they have no balls, and could affect the way the other young players see this franchise.

Once again this franchise is throwing money the wrong way.

I like this Jarmo guy.

Overhardt is doing his job, but IMO needs to back off a bit and get this kid in camp. It sounds like the BJ's aren't too worried about starting the year without him.

Based on his stats he really should have only had around 25 goals last season as opposed to 33. Not a huge difference, but it's big enough...

The kid hasn't scored 50 goals yet in his career.

He's 5th in points amongst players in his draft year, which is good, but on a point per game basis he's behind

Hall
Seguin
Skinner
Schwartz
Gallagher
Tarasenko
Granlund

...and that's without even going deeper than just production.

I can vouch that like about 5 of those goals were empty netters.

Reducing his shooting % to about 10% takes away about 9 goals I believe. He's been pretty sporadic in terms of his shooting % in his past NHL and AHL seasons.

He fired 250ish shots last season, which is why I went with 25 goals.

Odds are good that he might actually shoot worse than that this season.

I'd still like to see Johansen in an Oiler uniform
