Hey man, you know me. I love judging a prospect based off of two exhibition games with unfamiliar teammates/coaches.

I was reading on twitter that he's lost like 10+ pounds since he's had mono so I doubt he's in game shape. Hopefully for his sake he doesn't suck too much or he'll be a bust as well.

Now or never baby.

Weight loss is tough, I can see what Burrows went through last year really impacting his whole season. My kid had jaw surgery at the end of August and was down almost 20 lbs two weeks after and we were always feeding him high calorie/protein shakes during that time.... he was getting a bit of cabin fever and decided to go for a short bike ride about a week and a half later and he got all light headed, almost crashed...

The surgeon had about 5 kids in, lined 'em up and knocked 'em down to get it done with the teacher's strike going on- no missed school.

Yeah, crazy stuff. Can't imagine what it is like for a professional athlete to go through the weight loss and still try to compete.

I thought Burrows looked a little better towards the end of the year but still didn't have all his speed back, was missing that extra gear.

(Smoothies/shakes always had bananas, yogurt, more fruit, ice, protein powder, juice, sometimes adding ensure, honey or sugar. Within a couple days he was having scrambled eggs and softer foods too.)

For those wondering about why all their drafts picks aren't showing up in the pool, there is this disclaimer on the top of the draft picks page:

"This league had traded draft picks last season, but they cannot be fully imported for the following reasons:

Not all teams involved in trading draft picks from last year have been renewed."

Nucker, is there going to be a deadline for people to renew before you start filling vacant manager postions with willing participants who want to get in?

Turning 15 at the end of this month, 5ft9 and still growing... and eating a fair amount now too. He was around 160 before surgery and that dropped to 140... slowly going back up...

It should come back pretty quickly, I had surgery last year and lost a fair bit of size but the strength comes back after a couple of weeks of solid food and training

Exactly but...

Just once it would be nice to hear about some unexpected young canuck stud coming out of these pre-season camps (other than a camp invitee).
Is that too much to ask for?

How much different would it be with Virtanen, McCann, & Cassels?

For the life of me how come nobody is really talking about how the twins lack in production may have had a bunch to do with burrows injuries as well? Even if burr gets 15 goals and say 10 more assists that line doesnt look that bad at all as everyone would have produced more including DANIEL. That was for you Vantel

100% true but we can only surmise that it would be better. The reality is Shinkaruk and Valk have been the only true standouts. One of them probably won't get a spot on big club because of CBA rules and the other one is not even in the canucks organization.

Is did like Cedarholms game . He had a couple of nice rushes , didn't do anything stupid and added a little toughness. To me he looked like the best all around Dman

Liked Fox also.

Valk looked good

Gaunce had some moments
