I honestly wish the devils would participate in some of these events but they never seem to like us getting excited about anything lol

that's ok...we're under no illusions as to where the team will be this season as well as the next couple of seasons

I hope Reinhart starts to tear it up against prospects or he won't make it past the nine game tryout with the Sabres. I remember when Phil Housley was on fire in his preseason games as a Sabre coming out of high school against some NHL players, that is what a top draft pick should do in my opinion, especially against lower prospects.

All jokes aside,

the east is not that dominant to where its a crapshoot on who's making the PO's.
Everyone likes to predict that Sabres will not be good (on paper) but some of the veterans on team could make a difference on the kids. But that's just my opinion...

Hmm... Perhaps Reinhart isn't ready for the big time just yet after all?

Hard to be overly concerned tho, considering the plan for next season is to lose games.

It'd be interesting to see McEichel, Reinhart, & Grigorenko all make the jump in the same season. A lot of talent there, Zadorov too actually.

It's still a very good chance we do not get one of McDavid or Eichel. I do not see us finishing dead last. Unless Neuvirth is as bad as he is in NHL15. Real Life is much different than a video game, so I don't see that happening.

Totally agree.... what everyone thinks usually doesn't happen......
Plus just think the west is so strong that the bottom 2 teams could come from there....

that's always possible as well.

Vancouver is boom or bust (I think)
Edmonton is always a crap shoot
Calgary is trending up, but who knows
Nashville is boom or bust. If Weber/Rinne stay healthy, Jones improves and Roy/Ribiero/Neal pan out they will do well.
Who knows about Arizona too.

It did last year. Not saying they are lock for 30 but id hardly be surprised if they wound up last in the league.

According to James Tanner they are a lock for the playoffs.

Rest of those teams either have more high end talent or depth than we do with the exception of Calgary.

According to James Tanner, Max Domi is a 100 pt player and Gagner is a lock for a 65-70 point year

Last year was more of a given bc early into season u traded Vanek, played mostly kids while Miller n Ott were really the only vets that could do anything.....
If u catch my drift???

Plus most people knew that Sabres were going to trade off vets, plus it was heading in that direction with prior year w/Pommy. Writing was on the wall...

And the moves made this year were for what, a championship run?

Gorges, Gionta are somehow significantly better than Ott and Miller?

Last year our top goal scorer was Moulson

This year our top goal scorere is Moulson

Once they fired regier they sent the kids back down and brought the vets in, team was still poop, just a little older.

Again I'm not saying they are set for 30th but looking at the roster depth, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone surprised if they finished bottom 3 (or dead last).
