Holy crap, Berube's been reading my posts!

Schenn-Giroux-Voracek
Read-Couturier-Simmonds
Umberger-Lecavalier-Akeson
Raffl-Laughton-Bellemare/Rinaldo

Well, technically, it was Just5's post originally, but I liked his line combos and stole them

congratulations Bill. Thanks for giving us something to talk about all summer. Whjat do you think the Flyers are going to do about that whole at center? We could probably use another center or two.

We can always move one of our many wingers and play them out of position until the problem is solved.

Congrats.

Those forward lines were the same I was hoping for. On d was really hoping for a bigger role from schenn. Who knows maybe MDZ finds it again and they become something special

Happy belated B-day bill, may you have many more.

In regards to the blueline i think this might be the best pound for pound D-corps the flyers had in a looong time. Very encouraged this year.

There's some misfits in the forward corps but the ineveitable injury bug will settle these.

Maybe the Flyers have finally gotten some good fortune and have found a 2nd round gem in Aube-Kubel? Still too early to really tell, but let's hope so.

Like the pre season lines. Have to give Akeson a really good look.

I posted this lineup in mid-July (I forgot about Akeson).

If he turns into a slightly smaller & slower, right-handed version of Gagne then that would be very fortunate, but it would also be a sign of how good the Flyers QJMHL scouts are.

You're the best, Bill!

I like the line combo predictions. A lot of the success of them hinges on the young players continuing to improve. It wouldn't be see bad to see one more weapon in the top 6 but I think the depth is there. If Schenn can post 25 goals and 30 assists minimum and Couturier around 50 points plus a bounce back from Vinny and Hartnell won't be missed. At least offensively.

Aube-Kubel, Ghost, Hagg, Leier. All of these post-1st rounders are making waves more or less. Hopefully a few pan out to be solid players. That would make up for the Goulbourne pick a little

Its funny.. When they selected him I thought with his name and the Flyers propensity to draft 2nd round duds, we are gonna remember this kid for a lonngg time.

Now, im starting to think I was right, but in the wrong sense. Here's to hoping we have found a stud!

It will be nice to see Couturier moved up, and get a chance with some linemates who can produce. My fear is when the Flyers start allowing goals in droves Couturier will be moved back to his defensive role.

Rinaldo guaranteed a spot on the 4th line, and MacDonald on the top pairing... Wow...

Any updates on Kimmo or if MAB has a chance of coming back?

I dont understand the hate for MacDonald. He is probably the best option we have to play with Coby. He is solid defensively and can skate and move the puck. Streit cant handle defending top lines and neither can MDZ. Grossmann and Coby would be too slow and cant get the puck up to the forwards fast enough.
