Yeah, really like watching JT play; hope he is fully recovered.
If the Isles don't make significant improvements the next year or 2, there'll be no end of JT to TO rumours. |

Yeah like that would be a step up! If he wants to play on a contender Toronto's the last place to go! |

He will be playing on a contender soon enough. Dee writes this shat now just to get a few posts on her thread. In no way does jt saying this is the most talented team hes played on somehow elude to there being some truth to him wanting to bolt. How you got that with him saying this team is talented is completely beyond me?
If JT wants to go when his contract is done then thats his decision. Im sure I wouldnt blame him if this team is still a pile of shat his contract year but you're reaching and turning nothing into something. |

Good to hear. I'm hoping to catch some Islander games this year. Going to have my eye on Bailey more I think. I'm really curious if he would be a good acquisition for the Oilers if Draisaitl isn't ready. His advanced stats are pretty impressive.
Still thinking of that Alberta trip to catch hockey games? - ystoil
make sure you put a tracker on him prior to the game or you won't be able to find him. He's invisible on the ice for huge chunks of each year and only starts to produce after february.

I've read that you Islander fans aren't too impressed with him, but if it means having a guy to keep Draisaitl off the team to maybe develop some more, I'm all for it. His cap hit is reasonable and his cost wouldn't be too high I'd imagine.
Also, he is a legit NHL player, and we are finally starting to fill our roster with those |

We don't have to worry about it for another 4 years and the islanders still own his rights after that. The only way he leaves is by forcing the Isles a trade. I cant see Tavares ever doing that. The Islanders have new owners and have improved the team significantly in this off season. The combination of the new players and the young players taking the next step in their development this team will be competitive....so we won't to worry about Tavares wanting to leave. |

Correct, he's a UFA after this contract expires. I expect that on the day they are eligible to extend him, that Snow just walks into the conference room with a checkbook and hands it to Tavares and just says here, write whatever you want in here. |

You'd have to re-acquire Omark and send him also. |

Garth Snow will not be employed by the Islanders in 4 years. If we're lucky, he will be on UI in 4 months when the sale has been completed. |

I'm not so sure X. I'm not sure the new owners will want to be seen as Wang Lackey's for keeping the same GM. Unless the Isles are real threats to win the Cup, I'm not sure Garth stays? The new owners have to make their own mark. |
