I'm not worried... Adam Henrique's deal took forever to get done as well...

These kids coming up is exciting. It's been a while since we've had such an influx of youth. And next year Salvador will be gone and severson will more than likely be his replacement. That's 5 kids and 1 Greene, mmmaybe 1 zidlicky, or a ufa vet. Risky, but exciting. Merrill looked great as last year unfolded. We know Larsson can play. Gelinas just has to take that next step this year.

It's also going to be fun seeing Matteau and Boucher make the transition soon

It is but I really can't see someone not being plucked from f/a after this year as we will need a physical player back there and I doubt either of santini or Jacobs will be ready and we will have a skilled but soft d corps

Sorry but we DON"T know if larsson can play. What exactly has he shown so far to tell you he is an NHL caliber defenseman?

Absolutely agree. Our young players are definitely underrated. More than a few of these boys will be stars.

i still think larsson is capaple of becoming a star but the devs did play with his mind a bit and might have messed him up but hell be good hes only 21... usually defensemen take untill 24+ to become a good d man so well see... i think hes capaple of having a breakout year... if he breaks out merril and gelly contiue to get better just imagine what our defense will look like next season... scary

So according to Ek, we have a "veteran D" and or a "proven top pairing D" that the Stars might want.

I want some of what this guy is smoking

We do. Greene. I guess if you were being very generous you could include Zidlicky. That said, Dallas needs right handed dmen, and I doubt they'd be interested in another old offensive defenseman after the Gonchar experiment.

Also ecklund is a fraud and nothing that guy says should be given any more weight than you would give a comment by that guy who has this friend who's cousin uses the same barber as Bobby Ryan's neighbor, who swears he's going to sign with the Devils next summer because he misses home (even though he knows Bobby Clarke and grew up a flyers fan).

We just signed Greene to an extension doubtful he is on the block this year. And lol on Eklund so true not to mention B.Ryan also basically called all of North jersey complete poop hole so there's that too.

Hopefully Gelly gets inked soon but i'm not too worried either guy has zero leverage.

Which is funny because if I recall (I haven't lived in Jersey for a while now), north jersey is about 20 times nicer than the southern part.

Try 50 times, that's why most of Southern Jersey are Flyers fans

Hahaha yup so pretty much the only good thing about south jersey is the shore and sure we have Newark but they have Camden which is like 50x times worse.

I don't usually speak condescending to people on here.. because no one likes someone who doesn't respect, and it just makes me look like the fool.
however,

You are dumb. Or you born yesterday. Or you were blind, deaf, and/or dumb in 2012. Or all of the above.

The state is actually pretty diverse and hard to characterize by just "North" and "South".

North west NJ is very nice has mountains and rolling hills - not like any other part of the state. Nice area. Hunterdon, Morris, Essex Counties.

Along the southern half of the eastern shore is all pretty much nice, from Cape May to the Atlantic highlands. (with the exception of the Atlantic City ghetto area) Cape May, Atlantic, Ocean and Monmouth counties.

Perth Amboy north is pretty urban as you get into north east NJ - Some nice areas much of it is like an extension of NYC. The Rangers disease runs rampant in these area's as many of them consider themselves to by from NY and should probably move there. Union, Hudson, Essex counties

Southwest NJ is the Camden area and is mostly suburbs of the Philly industrial area, mainly the armpit of the state, inhibited by mostly Filthy fans, this is an area to avoid unless you are a drug dealer or buyer. Camden, Burlington, Gloucester counties.

The Turnpike runs from southwest to northeast NJ - through the industrial areas and not really through any nice parts. (which is actually great planning) Most people who have "been to" NJ and say its all crap, have traveled through on the turnpike and never have actually visited the nice parts of the state.

So to recap -
