He just seems hesitant.... Seems like they are comfortable being a middle of the pack, 8-12th placed team. Sometimes you need to dig deep and make a move, wether it hits or sinks you have to try.. something

Burmistrov loved winnipeg (he always said he loved the city and the fans) just was getting jerked around by management. Cant blame him for leaving

Lots of good stories of Burmi playing pond hockey with kids in the River Heights area (good area of the city).

And as stated, Chevy is an issue, he is sitting on assets refusing to make any moves, he is lowering the value of these players. They will be a lottery team if they dont be proactive for once

Really, thats awesome. I love going to that rink when I am back home in the area. Its one of the better outdoor arenas in the city. Burmi just seems like a great guy for the community.

I'd love to see him back. I think he got the raw end of the deal when Noel was the coach. I'm excited to see Maurice coach this team for the upcoming season. Having Burmi back in the lineup even a year from now would be a great boost for the team, and I don't see him signing a massive multi year deal, so either way he will be affordable. If he can put up 30 points, he's a major addition for a team in need.

If Burmistrov does not want to come back to the jets however does want to return to the NHL, I wonder what the price would be.

Filatov, who was a similar situation from what I recall, was a 3rd rounder.
