The St. Louis Blues are holding an Ice Breaker event on August 25th at Ball Park Village to welcome newest Blues forward, Paul Stastny back home to St. Louis. They will also be unveiling the new jerseys that they will be sporting this up coming season.
it's been funny these last couple of years with Army you could almost know what moves were going to happen before he made them. Signing Paul just made sense. Looks like it's going to be another season with more ups than downs, let's hope it ends on a high note.

next move is to sit tight. gotta find the hole before you try to fill it. the 3rd pairing and 3rd line are going to be interesting in the first couple months. I imagine there won't be much going on unless someone plays their way off the team or the depth really shines. doubtful much happens before the deadline, not sure much substantial happens at the deadline, maybe a standard grizzled vet addition, if only Doaner was in his final year.
I was talking the major acquisitions/trades and the few weeks leading up to them though, not 6 months in advance.

I think they are ditching the reebok edge jerseys, going with a more traditional hockey jersey, borders on the bottom. I could be wrong but someone leaked a computer animated jersey a little while ago like that. the 3rd jersey I think will stay the same. it would be interesting to see a road 3rd jersey

another season with more ups than downs? talking about the regular season? Not the playoffs obviously. lots of depth for the lineup, the only cause for concern is if they play Gunnarrson with shatty or petro on the 1st, it leaves the 3rd pairing weak between jackman, leopold, cole, or butler.

from what I just checked out it looks more like the jerseys from just before the lockout, the last blues jersey Macinnis wore, or at least similar
but those pictures are just speculation. hopefully its not atrocious

nothing to fear, Tarasenko will continue to improve and the rivalry should heat up even more. Lest we forget you guys took 4 straight to kick us out of the playoffs. the first 2 games we were not even playing well. we got lucky with those 2 wins in ot

personally I would like more of the late 80's early 90's jerseys for the blues, but anything away from the reebok edge I will be happy with as long as its not the trumpet jersey keenan vetoed

I think we now have 3 legitimate scoring lines that could cause damage
the Swedish connection on the 3rd line. when a team has steen penciled in on the 3rd line that means they have depth. and players that might crack the lineup that on a lower team would be a 2 line player possibly

ill agree it was to the head but if Backes doesnt miss the puck its a clean hit on a guy puck protecting along the boards. While it ended up being very dirty and vicious, even St. Louis fans cannot dispute the fact of ANY non pure goon in the NHL, Backes had it coming more than anyone. Trying to fight Mackinnon, I mean really?? not to mention taking runs at star players EVERY game. If he would just pick his shots a bit more he would have the respect of the rest of the league. but he doesnt. so, what goes around comes around.

im not worried, but Stasny helps. Plus I dont think Hawks v. Blues happens until round 2 if at all next playoffs. Either Blues or Hawks will take the division as the Avs will falter without Paul and Varlamov will likely come back to earth
