Fair enough. I know Laich has been going downhill for a while, but WTF happened to Brouwer? He was excellent in Chicago a few years back. |

Brouwer is the type of right wing I'd like to see on the Oil's top line with Hall & Nuge. He's got size, speed and had over 200 hits last year while playing all 82 games. |

He actually confirmed he has a deal in place with a team that is waiting on a trade to clear space to sign him during a radio interview on the TEAM 1040 in Vancouver today. He was on talking about his ice bucket challenge video which was shot in the mountains north of the city. |

Remind me please what Paul Bissonnette brings to the table that trading any of those players to make room for him make the Caps better.
He has never played more than half a season (48 games in 10-11) and has 22 points in 202 games. Maybe I'm more asking why he is news worthy, but I'm also curious why he is worth moving another player to make room. That applies to most teams in the league

Not arguing greens return, I just don't think Detroit will give up Tatar or jurco + to get him. |

If they are willing to retain some of Erskine's salary they might find some takers. |

He's fine. Great player, active community member, etc. We just need to move Wilson up the RW depth charts, and it sure would be nice to clear some space for a legitimate 2C.
We have a glut of "top-9" guys, and Brouwer and Laich make the most money. Moving someone on the right side makes more sense, as it gives Kuzzy and Wilson more room, though I think Kuzzy is comfortable at either wing. I'd rather keep Ward. |

Is that why Brouwer had career numbers with us, and not Chicago?
I don't exactly get your comment. No, the Capitals aren't the Blachhawks. Great observation...one I always gloss over. |

Good. We don't want redundant wingers. Green goes for a center, or nothing at all. |

Well, the Caps have neither a roster or a salary cap issue with signing him. |

Green & Brouwer and a 2nd pick to Detroit for Nyquist and a 3rd pick. I don't really want Biznasty either. Bit of a sideshow. Volpatti can do the job just fine when needed. |
