We've been discussing the list on other threads...

Pronman is a hack. This current list is garbage. And going back to look at his success on his past few top 100 lists shows he knows nothing more than anyone else and these lists are just the opinion of a guy that probably has not seen alot of these guys play.

That list was of poor quality, however, it would be difficult to do without a couple of omissions. I have seen Emile Poirier as high as 40 on some lists and he wasn't even on this list.

As you can see from his rankings back then, he misses the mark quite a bit. Obviously prospects are a crap shoot, but I wouldn't put too much stock in his rankings.

I agree, over at HF they treat his list like it's gospel which I find hilarious.

That list is hilarious. I just remember watching a lot of those guys play in the WJC (Pietrangelo, Subban, Eberle, Schenn particularly) and they were really impressive. Having Filatov rated over Eberle and Schenn is a joke. Schenn looked like he was going to be a big time NHL player back then. Also having Calvin DeHaan well above Subban....no.....

For whatever it's worth I was always a little surprised Ryan Ellis never stuck in the NHL. Undersized, but very skilled.

ESPN doesn't even know what hockey is.... Pronman is probably about as credible as Richard Cloutier.

He had Tedenby and Josefson ahead of Adam Henrique and Ryan McDonough on that list. Tells you all you need to know about his ratings.

Very surprised he had Santini on and no Severson though as I thought just about everyone sees Severson as the top Devils prospect at this point.

The author thought he was a Boston Bruins prospect, not a Boston College player. That's the only logical conclusion.

Ellis is 23 and played 80 games in the NHL last year. I wouldn't write him off yet.

Didn't realize. I guess I didn't see many Predators games last year. Not surprising that they weren't on National TV since they had such a terrible year.

Before this year it seemed like Ellis was up and down between the NHL and AHL. I think they tried him at forward for a little while too, but that could be wrong.

Carter is still a UFA, and Gelinas remains unsigned. I wonder what Lou's been up to these days.
