I am not defending Wang here but do we really want a new owner that had to shake down the couch cushions to come up with enough money to get to 420 million dollars?
- Dan Petriw

NO!!

Im curious, if he wins this lawsuit, how many of those investors might drop out before he gets the money to finalize a sale?

Im not saying its gonna happen, but it could.

I really feel bad for the Islanders fans. They have suffered through Milbury, Snow, and now Wang.
The Flyers have their own problems, but I still have a little hope for our team.
I think that the East in general needs a new facelift. We just aren't competitive when it comes to dealing with the Western teams. The East is stuck in the "Good Ole' Boy" management system, and loves the big slow players. Maybe it's time for a change. Maybe the owners should allow the GM's to manage, and the coaches to coach. Maybe the philosophy of getting the marketable player to sell tickets idea should be put aside.
With the new player agreement, you should be able to develop your own players, and then dump them after they want the "freak" contracts of 800 years, and $8 Billion. However, the East seems to be it's own worst enemy.
Salute Islander fans. Keep holding onto the early 80's, and I will keep holding on to the mid-70's.

That couldn't be further from the truth. The Wings are a big team, neither are the Habs, The Sabres, The Rangers. Even the Islanders aren't that big of a team. Martin is their biggest guy. But they are quicker than they are big.

The west is big, but the west find players with size and speed. That's what separates the two.

Isles with Lee,Nelson, and KO along with the d prospects should give the Isles the much needed size.

But what I'm saying is some of your best players are average at best. Tavares, not big by athletic standards. Okposo is only 6'0. Grabovski is 5'11. Hickey, Viz, Clutterbuck and Cizikas etc are all 6 foot or smaller. Good players, but not big. Rangers have a smaller team up front. Habs are always little. You get what I'm saying?

I'm not worried about size with the Isles especially when Lee, Nelson, KO and guys like Reinhart should be key pieces along with JT and Strome.

It’s these actions that lead to the perception that this team is still a chicken running around with its head cut off. Until there is stability from the head down, expect this stereotype to remain in full effect.

No worries about this perception or stereotype ...it is reality.

Too bad the cycle of life comes around for once proud franchises like the NY Isles or the Edmonton Oilers. No I don't have too much sympathy for the billionaires that own these teams or buy & sell them like properties in a Monopoly board game. The fans deserve better ... and one day they will get there. Patience is a virtue... long lasting suffering makes winning it all that much sweeter.

Trust me ,,, you're still the envy of fan bases with no history of a Stanley Cup.

Don't confuse just the Flyers mentality for the whole Eastern conference mentality.

You guys have an owner with stones and cash, and Philly never has trouble getting players to go there. Always hate playing the flyers, would be fun to cheer for them but I can't ever switch.

Does Wang have an estranged wife and a girlfriend that he can make slanderous remarks about Caucasians she hangs out with? (I think Dennis Potvin would be a good candidate to fill the role of Magic Johnson in this sequel)
