I agree, Tavares should be in the top-ten, but I would certainly make sure to address your statement about his skating. Five years ago that statement was 100% correct, now, I would say his skating is a strength of his. I understand, though. Not many Islanders games are nationally televised (in fact, there are none this year).

I would just get H.Sedin out of there.

I would dare put Getzlaf or one of Zetterberg/Datsyuk in there instead of H.Sedin

Also, how does Kopitar not make the top 10 now with two cups himself and a premiere two way C?

I don't know about Duncan Kieth being in the top 10 and would have Stamkos a little higher.

I'm surprised you have Hank so high. I do think he's still a top player in the game, despite what many others think. The big problem is people think him and his brother are the same player which isn't fair to Hank.

Solid list JJ. I have Kopitar, Weber, Bergeron and Kane in my 10 though and Sedin, Giroux, Keith or Doughty and Tavares out of it. Also Weber is hands down the best defenseman in the NHL, it's a crime he hasn't won a Norris yet.

Also how was Steve Ott omitted from this list?

Lemieux is undeniably top 3.

Nik Lidstrom not on the all time list? Hard to argue with who you got, but Lids makes my team.

Solid list JJ. I have Kopitar, Weber, Bergeron and Kane in my 10 though and Sedin, Giroux, Keith or Doughty and Tavares out of it. Also Weber is hands down the best defenseman in the NHL, it's a crime he hasn't won a Norris yet.

but he had a big cloud for years being paired with another norris candidate in Ryan Suter

Since he has been on his own, he's been very good, but not as good as he was when suter was there IMO

Also, I dont think I've seen anyone get away with interference more in the league than Shea Weber. Just sayin

He had 23 goals last year and was on Canada's top shut down line with Keith in the Olympics. The guy is a freak. No disrespect to other great d-men but I think he's the best in the game right now.
