As long as he stops being such a wussy out there he'll be a solid third liner |

Low risk, high reward.
I think we saw flashes of what he could be last year. Hopefully Hartley continues to push him. He could be a solid 2C if he commits to it. So far I think he has shown the effort. Just gotta stay persistent. |

Could be a 2C, but I think it's better for him (and the team) if he continues to dedicate himself to converting to a winger.
I never see him, as a center, slotting ahead of Monahan, Bennett, or Backlund. As a winger, especially on the right side, there is a possible place for him.
But if he continues to progress, and becomes a little more aggressive (he's never going to be as physically dominant as his size would have people hope) then there is a possible long term spot for him on this team. |

I would call this a zero risk contract, as we know he is an NHL player, regardless of where he slots in on the depth chart. I see him as a 5-9 fwd for the Flames, and in his interview this week, he mentioned specifically that the muscle he has put on is to help strengthen his puck possession play. He also mentioned the ability to drive the net and to station himself in front, so we could see a decent uptick in points this year, especially if he gets PP time in front of the net. |

you can the player out of the wussy but you can't take the wussy out of the player. if he doesn't have it, he doesn't have it. doesn't mean he can't be an effective third liner. guys like Radek Bonk and Michal Handzus were ginormous and also ginormous pussies. still good players. |

Very low chance of that imo. Bottom 6 winger is all he'll be. |

He'd be a 2C on the Oilers this year.

If you're implying he's junk, you are hilariously uninformed. If you are trying to be funny, you are failing. If you are doing none of the above, your not getting your point across.

I know you are being sarcastic but he looked pretty good when he played last year. And from what I've heard he looked good playing for the heat (anyone that says that he looked good playing for the heat is obviously BSing because I think one game was on TV last year). Numbers weren't great with the Flames but at least he played good. |

I think he's going to be slotted on the wing. way too much depth in the prospects at centre for him to crack that. Bennet/money would be ahead for 2c. granlund/knight (great face-offs in ahl)/reinhart ahead for 3c/4c.
So I expect he'll continue on the RW since its our weak spot. Probably where Raymond will play as well since he logged time on the RW with the canucks and didn't look out of position (he was just to fast for the sedin cycle, and a waste going up the wing with no pass kesler).
I hope he plays more aggressive, and those glimpses of him posting up in front of the goalie like old Otto continue. (money - newy, JG - mullen, colborne - otto, its an 80s revival plan) |

Many overlook that Joe Colborne returning to Calgary was the original Lebron to Cleveland. |
