As I said in the other blog, Carlyle is set in his ways of putting Franson with Phanuef on the 1st PP unit, every PP with those two together has resulted in a 2 on 1 against shorthanded.
Was a great chance for extended ice time for Gardiner and Rielly but it is looking as the same old garbage. He needs to be moved for the growth of the other two. |

D men take longer to develop than most. Why everyone wants to get rid out a defenceman a season removed from quality is beyond me. One bad season doesn't define a player.
Edit: I'm also aware we have 4 right handed shots. |

Agreed, and make no mistake, a lot of teams would be willing to accept (and work on) his defensive short comings to add his offensive upside. |

Better than the 3.8-4.2 he would of got in abitration. I wouldn't say he is safe yet from being traded. But I wouldn't be surprised to see him in a Leafs jersey on opening night. |

The above is only true for some players on here. For franson, he's only worth a bag of pucks apparently.
I still think he'll be moved. Defensively, he was bad last year..... But so was pretty much everyone, especially our captain.
Franson better work on his bloody foot speed though. |

Franson is still young he can turn it around ,maybe it might have to be with a different team .But he has shown some promise, and in a defense starved league he has value |

Yeah not bad at all, traceable if they want to go that route but also doesn't really hurt the Leafs cap very much for one year. I don't mind it |

What is wrong with Bailey? Every Isles fan wants to get rid of him. |

Plus Bailey is a good Tronna boy, so actually you should include a pick. |

the issue is his defensive liabilities outweigh his offensive upside.
yet he wants to be paid like a top 4 guy, but he simply isnt good enough.
he also has held out twice, is constantly in contract disputes with the leafs, has whined about ice time and generally been a bigger pain in the ass ofr leaf management then what he's worth.
trade him now while he has value instead of letting him walk for nothing next summer.. he knows the leafs have tried to trade him on top of all the contract nonsense.. there is no way in hell he wants to stay in TO.
