At some point he needs to be better himself. If LD makes this team you can be treating two guys like infants.

I should've elaborated... I think we need to get Yak's numbers up and then trade him.

Meh I rather trade Eberle who seems to float and not take things into his own hands.

Hey Matt, we all want a pizza/hooker/cocaine party for putting up 83 pages on the last blog.

I know he's a lot less exciting to watch when his shooting % drops to near the average

You guys are absolutely incredible. Over 2000 comments on the last one in the middle of summer. That said, I don't think there's a budget contingency for at least 2 thirds of what you're asking for. I mean Pizza is out of the question...

He just doesn't show that extra gear for me. If he's not with hall or RNH or on the PP he's as useless as Gagner.

Find a cheap hooker for 25 bucks and bring baking powder?

I don't think that is true at all. I think it would be a horrible decision to trade Ebs or Yak right now. I was just reading through a blog on Oilersnation and they're predicting Ebs potting 31 goals this coming season. Keep in mind, that's not what I am basing my opinion on but just thought I'd throw it out there.

I'd like to be optimistic, but don't agree that they have the right "gear". Improvements have been made for sure, but a lot of other Western teams have also done that.

For a top pairing d-man I'd drive either to the airport or Winnipeg.

Ideally you move one of them after Yak gets going though as then you get true value for Yak or at least leave yourself with an Eberle replacement.

He was also a culprit of turning the puck over too at our own blueline. Eberle also lacks the push back yak has. Loved seeing him stand up to Ladd and tackle those guys hanging up on Hendricks. Heck, even back to back body checks on gonchar.

Yak shouldn't be babied but all players should be treated equal not just the Russian

I liked ramsays quote the other day about allowing him to be what makes him special (/end Disney rant)

Yak has to play smarter too, Eakins has to be less of a wiener.

I was on board with moving eberle over Perron for a centre but I've changed my thinking on that due to Perron being ufa in a couple years. Also I feel like yak has the ability to be a pest type too.

Hey, do you guys remember how you used to tell me how great Sam gagner was when I informed you he was useless?

Didn't he get traded for a 6th round pick?

Well actually, he was traded for another flawed but solid player in Purcell. He was moved for a 6th from Tampa because they REALLY wanted that cap space to put towards Stralman.

Can't you afford your own hookers?

Word to the wise. Two things you never cheap out on. Hookers and toilet paper. Trust me on that.

So you're saying he was traded for a sixth?

Man, you're REALLY on your high horse today Again, The Oilers (our team, just FYI) didn't trade him for a 6th. From our teams perspective, we got more value than that. Any trades beyond that point have no baring on what WE got for him.

Ideally you keep both of them and have the best RW 1-2 punch in the league. No sense trading them for a 2C. Drasaitl will be ready in a couple years so it's stupid to use them to aquire a future 3C. Only way either is traded is for an immediate number 1D
