Nice, I love those little guys, they're a little pricey for what they are but it is what it is.

With all of the veteran signings chia made for pevs and Kelly on the third, and then the obvious of Thornton and Campbell on the fourth.......I really don't think he ever had a chance.

He needs some everyday experience on the fourth and third line and with a little time the confidence will build to see what we have.

He was never given a real shot.

He is not a defensive liability in fact he seems to be very good in the d aspect of the game. If we let him walk he will end up a second line player scoring around 20 goals a year.

Haha yeah. Nobody drinks coffee there, man. They just use the bathroom. But really, beautiful day in Mass. after a few days of garbage weather. Plus, I'm more productive when I bring my laptop somewhere else besides my house.

Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Used to be a little garage operation when I started out with them. Now they've blown up a bit.

Yeah, it's tough for me to harp on his production when he logs about eight minutes a night and rides the pine when it's a close game.

You're creating a narrative that doesn't exist in reality for Caron. There's no need to create a fantasy story of Caron's nonexistent positives. He's a flat-out bust and a waste of a roster spot at any salary.

Hes not a fit in Boston because of that (depth ahead of him). From what ive seen (about 20 games) he can play. Just not effectively in beantown. Would look great on calgary or a Nashville.

Seems to be a clark McArthur type player

Do you really feel that he's not an effective player when you re-watch that Detroit series when he actually had a role in front of him? I mean, come on, this is a team that played Shawn Thornton three and a half minutes in a Game 7 loss. Caron could easily contribute more in that role, I think.

Thorton, whom I loved as a player, except for the water bottle and Orpik BS this year......waaaaaayover the top, hence I'm going to assume he is old and crazy.

He was over a million a year. Caron for close to a league minimum.....?
the fighting going down as Shawn didn't drop or need to drop the glove as much as years past.
Seems like a no brainer to me as Caron has shown way more of an impack, especially with the d zone and if given time.....he will well over double Shawn's goals.

Caron on the fourth line would be a pencil in of around 15 goals. If he plays ten plus a game.

i don't buy this didn't get a shot stuff. he was a first round pick almost 6 years ago. he's had plenty of time and opportunity to progress and he simply hasn't. he's just not that great of an NHL player.

it's like saying paille never got a chance. a first round pick in buffalo and his career has been that of a 4th line role player. he, like caron, just is who he is in the NHL.

You are 100% correct with the FACT that he was a bad pick at 25th. But what do you want to do?

Let him walk and try to sign another nobody for more money for the fourth line?
That's crazy talk to me.

We need depth to compete in the playoffs and at the price can we really complain?

I think everyone is confusing TWO different things here.

1. He is nothing close to what everyone thought he was going to be and is disappointing to all of us fans.

2. We need cheaper players on the bottom 6 that can at least play Julian's system so that we can resign all the core guys on the top lines we want to keep.

Hence because of number two, we kept him......for now.....

Here are some questions to ponder.

What do you guys think Krejic will get in free agency?

What would you be willing to sign him for to keep him?

What do you think Chia signs him for?

With Toews getting 10.5 and all the other crazy contracts out there I bet he could get over 7!!!!

I don't want to sign him for more than what Bergy is making, do you think he would take that?

And, what the hell are we going to do about Lucic in two years?!?!?

He will want more then 7 and would easily get it in free agency.
Maybe we should try to trade him after this season and try to get some picks and prospects?

Jordan Caron playing on, or not playing on the 4th line makes no difference to me. if not him it would be someone at a similar $ amount so im not really worried. the team may very well give someone from providence that role. someone that could replace a bit of thornton's snarl. caron might actually be well served by a change of scenery anyway.

What do you think Chia signs him for? Lord Knows

I don't want to sign him for more than what Bergy is making, do you think he would take that? Hoping he realizes he isn't a better player/option than Bergy and sticks for a fair contract to keep the core together.

And, what the hell are we going to do about Lucic in two years?!?!? Trade em if he wants too much, return would be awesome, PLUS, the cap will rise a lot in that time.

Krejki has a no trade clause.... like every other freaking contract chia gives out.. .
surprised Caron didn't get one. I think it would be a good time to trade him if he would waive it.. generally he's invisible during the season, and sometimes he steps it up in the postseason but overall I think he's bit overrated,.. and that's the best time to move someone.

I agree, but I don't know if it will happen before the season starts.

So, we may see him play a bit to HOPEFULLY, showcase himself, then maybe someone make an offer.

I would rather him traded too, but what we get back right now is probably sailboat fuel.

I would have agreed in the past, but, I would rather Krejic than Lucic if it came down to it.
Krejic is a very good two way player now. He will not get the credit due to Bergy's play, but he is going against top fowards, shuts them down and scores.
That's just like Bergy just not the same level. Krejic lead the league in plus minus last year and was one of the centers for the team that was SECOND IN THE NHL in GA and GF.

We don't have a replacement for him and I think few exist out there. *****Cough cough Seguin.
But, that ship has sailed.
So who would we have replace him?
I think Krejic gone would hurt the team, and that Lucic would turn into a fourth line goon without him.

So I would rather trade Lucic. He has the worst menstrual cycles and therefore is unpredictable and streaky

i think when he's on his game no one brings to a team what lucic does. that said we need to see him on his game.
