Love your stories Stew Cat.

Pat's is the best. I go to school at the University of the Sciences to study pharmacy (that's right near Penn!), so unfortunately, I don't get out to Pat's/Geno's too often because I don't have a car. That area is kind of in no mans land regarding septa, so I normally head to Jim's since it's a short (and enjoyable) walk from the 2nd Street stop on the Market Frankford Line.

Keep up the great work. I love Storytime with Stewie!

Nicknames are an important staple in hockey to be sure. I always said that there three rules about them. 1) You had not really arrived as an accepted "hockey person" until you had one; 2) You don't get to pick your nick, it will always be given to you by another hockey person (mine was given to me by Philadelphia Firebirds RW Gordie Brooks when I was the team's PR man); and 3) once you get it that's pretty much how you will always be known by everybody else in the game. For me, if someone in a hockey environment ever called me by my given first name instead of "Scoop" I would assume they were talking to somebody else!
