All three are very valuable Rangers now and in the future.

Kreider likely gets a bridge deal, when it is all said and done. Zuccarello and Brassard I would like to see signed long term but there are no guarantees on either.

$1 mil is well worth it, really want to know what we're doing behind the scenes, the money tied up on Glass is gonna hamper them, he'd still be available today, don't understand why Sather has to jump the gun on goons, we could have had a Gibbons at half that price and twice the production

Was going to add this in to the blog. Good low-risk, possible high-reward for Anaheim based on salary and one-year deal. Glass is making $450k more than Heatley and for two additional years. As we have discussed, a major head scratching signing by Sather, regardless if AV pushed for it.

Everyone needs to stop female doging about the glass signing. AV just took this team to the finals. Glass is his guy. I'd say he earned the right to pick 1 player for under 2 million bucks.

You guys are pretty cap screwed, no question about it.

You still need 1-2 more forwards to round out your roster after those signings are done. My guess is a quality for quantity deal is coming in the near future.

Who gets unloaded after the arb. deals are higher than expected?

I find it unlikely that any coach from a talent perspective would rather have Glass at $1.4M than Heatley at $1M.

Well we have to see these kids become NHL'ers sometime, we aren't in need of a top 6 guy which makes it easier

Have a question .....

Would you guys prefer on trading Nash for salary cap reasons but don't expect to get back any type of stud but more of players who can fill the roster and/or picks?

Now we all know Nash's salary & remaining contract length is a major issue.

just asking....

If i spend 1 more minute in that advanced stat infatuated, know-nothing hack, never watched a game the lighting weren't playing in, moron Michael Stuart's blog, I'm definitely getting banned. The poop that's being said in there is out of control.

Dd you guys know Antron stralman was "dragging Marc Staal around the ice"?

Nash is not a problem, and his salary in another year or two wont be bad at all.

Surprises me, sather was always rumored to be interested in heatley. I think he's gun shy because he has no clue what these rfa's are going to cost him.

Heatly is all wrong for filling the role that glass has been
Tapped for. Apples and oranges there. I have a feeling heatly
Will tank -he just looks too slow at this point.

Not myself, I still think he's a positive player, he may not have lit the lamp in the postseason but he didn't just disappear either, he's also not considered old and washed up, he's gonna be more determined to produce

Like it was said before, Stralman was a marginal NHL player at best, he played mostly with Staal while getting better, now who do they think helped his game? Stralman at $4.5 isn't a bad contract at all, it isn't a "bargain" either, that's one blog I'm growing to really hate, started with their insecurities about St. Louis

Heatley to me is a player who has declined rather quickly, he's not exactly what we need, a player like Pouliot was a good pick up because he was young, talented, big and had something to prove, Heatley obviously wants to prove something but I think he's looking for a role position and a chance at a Cup

Of all the players out there the one I liken the most to Pouliot, though he has enjoyed some success in the NHL already, is Devin Setoguchi. RH shot, whose play has tailed off the last few seasons and needs to reverse that trend if he wants to stay in the NHL. I believe he's also only 27. If the Rangers could get Setoguchi for the same terms Anaheim got Heatley, then I pull the trigger.

Nobody is getting unloaded. The rfas will sign and we will start next season with this roster.

Nash is a great hockey player. One of the top wingers in the game. No need to even entertain the idea of moving him.

Yea let the kid play a (frank)ing game. Everyone wants to sign boyle to a 2M deal cuz we're familiar with him but glass who is supposed to be just as good of a PKer and a much better skater, fighter, hitter, and scorer is getting shat on months before training camp and hes making 600k less.

Sorry armchair gms but obviously theres a reason multiple NHL coaches who get paid millions love this guy on their team. Just like the islanders fans ripping apart cappy for constantly dressing reasoner and now they hired him to be on staff...he's great in the lockeroom and behind the scenes.

Wow so stralman > staal and hedman > mcdonagh and msl sucks. You would've thought the lightening made the stanley cup finals instead of being swept in the first round?

Dan Boyle is gonna make us not miss Stralman that much. Gonna be nice having a legit offensive d man who can log minutes
