How can rumours be incorrect? Isnt that the definition of a rumour: A currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth

I don't see Thornton or Marleau waiving their NTC's for Carolina. I could see Jumbo waiving for the Rangers though.

The same way a rumor can be true. If a player signs in one of the places he claims, it was a true rumor.

If they don't, its an incorrect rumor.

I'm here because I don't like the HFBoards and I want to talk about hockey. I generally skip all the blogs and go right to the comments, but sometimes I enjoy reading about the players that the Islanders are fake-chasing.

The Caps should go after Thornton. Trade Green, Johansson a prospect and a #2 pick for Thornton and a #3 pick.

I honestly want the Sabres to take a shot on Del Zotto. He could end up being a solid offensive defenseman. I don't watch Preds games but he posted great numbers in juniors and had a solid 2011-12 campaign with the Rangers. It's worth a shot for the right price IMO

Your assuming that these rumours have some kind of logical base to them, like coming from a real 'Source'. Don't you think that Dreger,Kipper, McKenzie etc etc have legitimite sources. If there was something real being talked about you would hear it from a reliable site.

Most come for hockey chat not really thinking these are real rumours. I can't think of anything that was reported here first.
