What's up with all the man-love for Georges. He was an ok D with zero offensive skill. He was making far too much money for what he brings so he had to be moved.

The 3 of them are bigger, better skaters and better with the puck.

Glad Gorges is gone. Maybe Buffalo fans will spell his name correctly.

I will actually miss seeing him in the Habs jersey. True for 4 million a year you may hope he provides offense, but that wasnt his role. They guy always gave 100%, he always played against top offensive players (Crosby, Malkin, Ovi, Stamkos) and often held them off the score sheet. He blocks enough shots to warrant some goalie pads out there and was an obvious positive influence on PKs game.

It sucks to see him go, but thats the nature of the beast. Hoping that the youngsters coming up start to mature this year into quality full time players. Tinordi and Beaulieu are surely getting close to constant 3rd pairing and maybe higher.

Those 3. PK, Markov and Gilbert.

Who's playing D?

I think by Christmas the Habs will be looking for a stay-at-home D that is a heart and soul, do anything to win kind of player.

Was he overpaid? Maybe a bit. Are the Habs better without him?..........Remains to be seen.

I don't think so.
Weaver brings a lot of the same. Tinordi's a step further along. They'll be fine. That's why they traded Gorges.

ok.

BTW...I wish Gorges would have agreed to the trade with Toronto. There must have been something going on behind the seen with Gorges. Why else would they do Franson for him?
